Overview

The Amsterdam American Hotel was built in 1900 and is officially listed as a monument. The typical Art-Deco features can be found in our recently renovated hotel rooms and in our beautiful Café Americain. We are within a stone's throw from the most important places worth seeing and with the famous "Leidseplein" just in front of the door, a stay in the Eden Amsterdam American Hotel can never take long enough. The city tax of 5% is to be paid directly at the hotel by checkout.

CLASSIC - ROOM
The Classic rooms are approximately 20 to 30 square meters and you can find them throughout the entire hotel. Some rooms have a spectacular view over the Amsterdam canals, others on the vibrant Leidseplein. All our Classic American rooms are non smoking rooms and have the luxury of air conditioning.
DELUXE - ROOM
The DeLuxe American rooms have a surface of 30 to 35 square meters. The majority of these rooms have a beautiful view over the Amsterdam canals or the vibrant Leidseplein. Most of the DeLuxe American rooms have a balcony with a nice cosy seat. All rooms are non smoking and have the luxury of air conditioning. Stay with us in a deluxe room before the 31st December 2009 and get Free High Speed Internet!
STANDARD - JR_SUITE
The Amsterdam American Hotel has 15 American Junior suites. The largest Junior Suite is 55 square meters and most of the suites have a beautiful view over the Amsterdam canals or the vibrant Leidseplein. All suites have a separate sitting area and some even have a balcony with a great view over Amsterdam. Stay with us in a Junior Suite before the 31st December 2009 and get Free High Speed Internet!

Our renovated meeting rooms are situated on the ground floor of the Eden Amsterdam American Hotel. The three main meeting rooms can be combined into one large room for larger events. All rooms have a capacity of 110 persons for a meeting, 125 persons for a dinner and 225 persons for celebrating a big party. We are easy to reach by public transport and the Byzantium parking garage is located within 5 minutes walking distance.

Nice hotel, great location and staff

We spent 3 nights before taking a cruise. The location is close to parks, museums, canal cruise, bars, and many restaurants. We were able to walk everywhere. The room was clean and well

Lovery lobby and cafe. Room was upgraded because they were overbooked on the first night.

Rent a bike from Mike's bike nearby and ride everywhere. City is very bike friendly.

Nightlife Short walk from hotel

Leidesplein square offer lot's poeple watching eating and drinking. Get a pancake at the Pancake house on the corner of the square any time of day sweet or savory varieties. Best location and overall neighborhood vibe. I will be back.

When in AMS, take the country tour on one of the bike companies which lasts about 4 hours. Wonderful way to see more of this beautiful city.
