Minsk National Airport is located in the Smalyavichy Raion territory, twenty-six miles east of Minsk. The airport, which replaced the old Minsk Airport, opened for operations in July, 1982. It serves over one million passengers each year and is a main base for the cargo airline Genex. Several commercial airlines service the airport, including Czech Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, and Belavia.

If you want to grab a drink and have a snack before your plane takes off, you can visit the Meridian Bar. The Lebed Bar serves salad, sandwiches, ice cream, fresh juice, tea, and coffee. At Polet Bar, you can grab a sandwich, a snack, and a variety of beverages. Aero Bar is located on the second floor of the terminal and serves hot meals, sandwiches, snacks, and hot drinks. Flying to Kiev Airport

If you plan on flying to Kiev, you will land at the Kyiv (Zhuliany) International Airport located in the Zhuliany neighbourhood in the south of the city. Being one of the two passenger airports in Kiev, the facility serves as a host for a large number of airlines, such as Aegean Airlines, Business Aviation Centre, Sky Wings, and Wizz Air. Transportation from Kiev Airport

There are several transportation options available to help you reach the city, such as taxis, buses, and trolleybuses. If you want to travel by bus, you should buy a ticket at the kiosk for 1.5 UAH, but you can also purchase one from the driver. Tickets for a minibus ride are paid while entering the vehicle and cost from 2.5 to 3 UAH. Public transportation runs from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and is available from the public bus stop located two hundred meters from terminal A. Taxis can be found just outside of the terminal in the passenger pick-up area.

Kiev has a humid continental climate, the warmest months being June, July, and August, with temperatures that range from 13.8°C to 24.8°C. December, January, and February are the coldest months, having temperatures between -4.6°C and -1.1°C, so make sure to pack warm clothes if you're traveling during this time of the year.
