Phoenix to Las Vegas Flights

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport

Travellers looking to fly out of Phoenix can use ebookers to help make flying from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport simple. With more than 100,000 passengers coming through the terminals every day, it is one of the largest airports in the region. It also hosts a variety of major airlines, including Alaska Airlines, Delta, American Airlines, Southwest, and United Airlines. The airport is located five miles west of downtown Phoenix at 3400 East Sky Harbor Boulevard, which is also just nine miles south-west of Scottsdale.

Airport Parking

Each of the major terminals has its own parking directly across the street. There are also economy lots located a short walk away from the terminals. Travellers flying on Alaska Airlines or United should park at Terminal 2, American or Delta travellers will be at Terminal 3, and Southwest and US Airways fly out of Terminal 3. The terminal garages cost $25 per day. For a more cost-effective option, the economy garages and lots will cost you up to $11 per day, with the uncovered lots at a daily maximum of $9 per day. The economy lots require a quick shuttle ride to the airport, which runs twenty-four hours a day.

Getting to the Airport

Getting to the airport by public transportation is simple. Hop on the Metro Light Rail and get off at the 44th Street/Washington stop. There will be a shuttle to take you to any of the three airport terminals for free. The other bus line that stops at the airport shuttle is Bus 44. It runs from the northern outskirts of Phoenix all the way to the airport. A one-way ticket on either option will cost $1.75. There are also several taxi companies, such as Apache Taxi, AAA/Yellow Cab, and Mayflower Cab, that provide transportation to the airport. A taxi will cost much more than public transportation, with the minimum price being $15, and each mile costing $2.30. You can hire a taxi in advance with ebookers.

Best Bets for Food

Terminals 2, 3, and 4 all have their own Paradise Bakery Cafe. As far as a good place to stop to get some coffee and breakfast or lunch, this is your best bet. There is enough food to satisfy a variety of tastes, and each item is incredibly tasty. If you are looking for a big meal, El Bravo in Terminal 4 has some great Mexican food. Each of their dishes is filling and made fresh so you can leave Phoenix on a full stomach.

Arrival in Las Vegas

McCarran International Airport is remarkably close to Las Vegas, so depending on where visitors are staying in the city it is within easy walking distance. For most flights Las Vegas passengers will be bringing baggage so they will probably need transport between the airport and hotel. They can, therefore, hire a car at McCarran International Airport, take a taxi, bus or use the monorail.

Holidaymakers taking flights to Las Vegas will be visiting one of the greatest gambling and entertainment centres in the United States, if not the world. Not only is the city filled with plush casinos, some of the top entertainers in the world regularly appear at its venues. The Caesars Palace arena has even played host to major sporting events, such as world title fights.

Las Vegas is a city that operates at full throttle 24/7, allowing visitors to hit the slot machines and gaming tables around the clock. The city is a favourite among honeymooners and, in fact, many couples come to get married in its many wedding chapels. One of the most famous of these is the Graceland Wedding Chapel where the ceremony includes Elvis Presley impersonators. A Las Vegas holiday also offers plenty to see. One of the most impressive sights, and well worth a visit, is the 110 storey Stratosphere Tower.
