Popularly referred to as CSIA, or by its former name, Sahar Airport, this modern facility was named after Chhatrapatri Shivaji Bhosle, a 17th-century emperor. Mumbai is hot throughout the year, with lows of 19°C in January and February, the coldest months, and highs of 33°C in May, the hottest month. Even in January, daytime temperatures rarely fall below 28°C. June through April is monsoon season in Mumbai, with the heaviest downpours occurring in July. November through April are sunny and dry, and April and May, with their 10 hours of sunshine, are the sunniest months. Any time from November to April is a great time to visit Mumbai, and light, comfortable clothing is recommended for your stay in the city. Bring a very strong umbrella and a light raincoat if you must visit during monsoon season.

Esselworld is a famed theme park located just outside the city, and it attracts locals as well as international tourists with families. The Global Vipassana Pagoda is one of the many local shrines and temples that is worth a visit, and the Colaba district is popular for its shops, restaurants and historical landmarks.
