Finding Cheap Flights to Sydney

When you are planning a trip to Sydney, Australia, flight prices are often a significant part of the budget. At ebookers, we can help you find cheap flights to Sydney, no matter what time of year you are planning to travel.

Flights to Sydney

With its seaside location and wealth of tourist attractions, Sydney is a popular destination for travellers from around the world. It is an important travel hub for Australia and New Zealand, both as a stopover and as a final destination. Because of its remote location and distance from many other international airports, cheap tickets to Sydney can be difficult to find. When you book your Sydney flights with ebookers, you can take advantage of our powerful booking engine. With a single search, you have access to a wide range of bargain flights from Australian airlines and major international airlines so you can find the best prices.

Airports in Sydney

The Sydney area is served by a single airport, the Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport. The airport, which is the busiest in Australia, is located on Botany Bay, just outside of the city. It hosts all of the major airlines that fly into Australia, making it an ideal entry point to the country. From Sydney, you can connect to other points in Australia, New Zealand or countries around Southeast Asia.

Transportation in Sydney

Once you arrive in Sydney, you will be faced with a variety of transportation options. If you are coming from an international location and transferring to another flight within Australia, you will need to change terminals. All international flights arrive and depart from Terminal 1. All domestic flights leave from Terminal 2. The only exception is Qantas Airlines, which handles some of its flights from its own building, Terminal 3. If you need to travel between terminals, you can take the TBus, Airport Link train or a taxi. Qantas and Virgin Airlines offer free transfers for eligible passengers. If you have parked at the airport, you can use the free PBus system, which goes between the terminals and the parking area.

If Sydney is your final destination, you can head into the city by rental car, taxi, bus or train. The most convenient option is the Airport Link train service, which leaves from a station between Terminals 2 and 3 and goes to both the city and the suburbs. If you are staying in a Sydney hotel, you can take the hotel shuttle for a small fee. Another option is the Sydney public bus system, which runs from the airport to locations around the city.

Attractions in Sydney

Perhaps the most famous of Sydney's attractions is the iconic Opera House, which rises up from the waterfront in an array of curved lines. The Harbour Bridge makes for excellent photo opportunities, and Bondi Beach is the place to go for a day of people watching while you soak up the sun. For a look into the city's past, check out The Rocks area, which is home to museums and cultural opportunities.

Whether you are flying from across the country or across the world, ebookers can help you find cheap flights to Sydney.
