worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and I travel a lot!
I travel for my company and I have stayed in many hotels around the world. And this hotel has the worst staff ever! from check-in to check-out. Ruined shirt, In front of co-worker I was accused of sneaking people in after hours, only to say oops wrong person. And so much more I get mad just thinking about it. 7 day stay with leaky mini bar, I asked for a taxi driver and unmarked car shows up. the front desk comes out and argues with me that I ordered a car, I said taxi and how am I to know private cars can be taxis! I had to tell the guy off and put him in his place, and he still would not stop. The driver was stunned and I was fuming all the way to the airport! Run Away from this place there are many other hotels in the same area.

Not a pleasant experience
The staff at the reception desk were not able to find my reservation number therefore they asked me to open a voucher as guarantee... Next morning the girl from reservation didn't arrive and I was obliged to leave the open voucher. A room in the 9th floor was assigned to me as it was the only floor available, coming out of the elevator the horror starts... smelly, dirty carpets and dirty - stained toilet, extra soft old beds, the room temperature can't be controlled from your room. This hotel is not a 4 star hotel and the pictures shown do not correspond to the rooms you get. Breakfast was decent. Beware!!

Eye of the hurricane
Just two blocks from the corner of Lavalle and Florida, the famous shopping streets in central Buenos Aires, the Grand King is a cool place to stay. Its sparse, modern design belies the friendliness of the front desk staff. The elevators are scary though ... they rattle! In view of what some of the reviews had said, I reserved a superior room. The room I got, while a bit small, was modern, comfortable, and clean as a whistle. The wood floor was a nice touch. The glass shower curtain was unusual, but apparently functional. This hotel charges extra for wireless internet access. I had wanted to stay here to be in the middle of all the late night action, but by the time I got back from dinner it was after midnight and the area was quiet. Ironically, the advantage of the location turned out to be its convenience for walking to Puerto Madero, and for catching a bus to the airport the next morning.

The hotel is perfectly located, you cant get much better. There are a lot of places to walk to, and many great restaurants surrounding the hotel. The staff are reasonably helpful. The breakfast is good.

It was a great experience. Staff was helpful. A big negative was that there is no pool. It was about 40 degrees everyday and the heat was unbearable. Rooms werent well air conditioned either.

The location of this hotel was
The location of this hotel was excellent, but when we checked in (very late, due to a delayed flight) they tried to charge us, not knowing that as it was booked through hotelclub, I had already paid, and unfortunately the booking email I had printed out was in English and the duty manager did not speak English; and my Spanish was not up to this conversation/explanation in the middle of the night! However, we got there in the end, but it was not ideal to have to deal with this at one o'clock in the morning. Then the next morning, when our toilet did not work and our safe was locked (before we tried it), it took several trips to the front desk to get it all sorted (though the man at the front desk was doing his best and was particularly helpful with other things during our stay, whoever was supposed to be sorting the problem was not so helpful). The breakfast was disappointing too. I would not class this as a four star hotel--it looks like it used to be, but is not any more.
