Depressing
Not a lot of hotels would try to faithfully recreate the atmosphere of the DMV but the Wilton really excelled. FYI, two twins pushed together equal a queen.

A Wonderful Hotel
This hotel was just what we were looking for! The hotel staff was very friendly, and the location was nice. We were within walking distance of the subte, and there were many restaurants, bars, and shop in the area. As other reviewers have said, the continental breakfast was a pretty typical continental breakfast, but we were happy to have the option. The fitness center/solarium area is somewhat small but certainly functional. Temperatures were in the 80s and 90s while we were there, but the AC in the room kept us cool. It was also nice to stay connected to home with the computers that were available to guests, too. Should we have the opportunity to go to BA again, we would definitely consider staying here.

Convenient and Economical
The Wilton Hotel is in a perfect central location in the Ricoleta district of Buenos Aires. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The rooms are decent with big bathrooms, but you do get street noise. The free breakfast is below average in terms of the quality of coffee and pastries. But this is a very good bargain.

Absolutely Great Location, Price, and Staff - You have to consider
My wife and I stayed here for a week in March of 2012 and it was absolutely perfect. We checked in on a Sunday around 9am and had no issues with getting right into our room. Over the course of the week, we walked from here to Palermo Soho, Palermo Hollywood, San Telmo market, the Obelisk of Buenos Aires, and the Recoleta Cemetery. It's in the Recoleta neighborhood, but feels central to everything. It's on major central streets, so you don't have to worry about back alleys or dark hallways. There's several excellent bars and restaurants nearby, along with easy access to cabs, buses, and the subway. You can't beat the location and price. And the hotel staff could not have been more friendly. Definitely consider this as a place to stay when visiting Buenos Aires.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There are two great breakfast places around the corner called Tea Connection and be Frika (actual spelling). They have great coffee, tea, and breakfast items and each within a 5 minute walk of the hotel.

Excellent location
Close to Recoleta and Santa Fe. Our room had two full size beds, and it was bright. The room was quiet, maybe because it was at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was good, the usual pastries, fruit, juices, toasts, cereal, etc.

Nice Hotel
The hotel had a good location in Recoleta, not too far from the great cemetery., and from a Subte (subway) stop, which had good access to both downtown neighborhoods, and Palermo. The breakfast was nice, room was a good size, and the view from the rooftop terrace was great. I checked out a few hours late, and the hotel staff was nice enough to not charge me anything, although they usually charge a half night. I would recommend this hotel to any first time visitor to Buenos Aires.

Sightseeing tip:
Not Applicable
Unlike some other big South American cities, like Sao Paulo, the city is very walkable, the city has a very European quality, a mix of Paris, Madrid, and Barcelona. But its not so much grand monuments, museums and plazas, its the typical street, with its historic architectural gems from different eras, in different styles. So skip the Taxi, or even the subway, and do not miss out on the best part of Buenos Aires.

staff friendly, limited english skills so be prepared for this. breakfast quite good, location in Recoloeta barrio good, able to find lots to do within walking distance or short cab ride, room small and in need of updating, but clean and everything in working order. i would stay here again.
