Very good Value and Location
We arrived New Year's Eve with lots of luggage. The front desk was very helpful, with luggage and directions to Puerto Madero. There is an elevator and the room was sufficient and bed comfortable for a few hours sleep. Everything was clean. The young man at the desk informed us there may not be cabs in the morning due to holiday on New Year's Day. But he calmed our fears by saying he would start trying at 4 in the morning. We had a van at the hotel at 5:30! For our flight at 7:20. Just know this might seem a little seedy part of town, but with a local police precinct across the street, and someone at the desk for 24 hours I felt safe. You are just around the corner from Florida which is a huge shopping area, the obeliisk at 9th of July. Puerto Madero is just a 15 minute walk, a safe and super place to spend New Year's Eve. We went to Las Lenas restaurant got a table right next to the promenade. They offered a fixed menu, party favors, wine, tango dancers and champagne, great DJ at midnite and fire works display for 2 hours. The whole experience was Awesome!

Amazing Experience
I stayed here for nearly a week and had the best experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and bilingual. Continental breakfast tasted great. There was a mini fridge in the room full of drinks, cereal bars, and chocolate desserts. The location is perfect for visitors wanting to sight-see. Easy and quick access to nearly every Subte line. The staff is more than happy to call you a taxi whenever you need it. Room was always cleaned thoroughly. Only warning: This location can get noisy at night or in the morning if that bothers you.

Nice place
The location is excelent as it is at the core of BsAs, near everything you want to see in the city. The neigbouhood has nothing special, just an ordinary down town site, but mobility and access are very good

Spanish Asturian resturant in a corner at Av. de Mayo at the 1200. Great atmosphere where Spanish local neigbours seem to get together, great fish and Spanish dishes at a very reasonable price.

Dont go to the TGI FRIDAYS on the river. Worst service i have ever had in my life. The staff was rude and did not even try to accoommodate with the problem. Plus i ended up getting sick from the food.

What more can you ask?
A senior, traveling alone, I stayed here three times during my 7 week stay in South America. Clean, comfortable, conveniently located. Exceptionally friendly, competent and helpful staff. Tasty and adequate breakfast.Close to metro, Teatro Colon, government offices, shopping & restaurants. Fairly priced. If one doesn't require luxury, this is one I'd recommend to anyone planning to visit Buenos Aires for business or pleasure.

The underground metro (Subte) is an inexpensive and quick way to get to anyplace it serves. It's clean, well marked, and frequently quicker than cabs, which are inexpensive by US standards, but frequently get bogged down in traffic. Station cashiers make change and a single fare gets one anyplace in the system, including line changes.

Great Location
Hotel typical of most small SA independant hotels , rooms OK, clean enough, old sheets and towels but this is normal for SA. The desk staff is wonderful, very helpful with tips for restaurants and checking information on anything you need. The breakfast is fine, decent choices, only issue was problems with the coffee, which was hot one day and barely warm the next. The location was ideal, close to the casa rosada, the port, Florida street and the Metro.

What we were looking for.
We were in Argentina for 4 days and had spent a month in Uruguay prior. The hotel was so nice! It was clean, updated, friendly staff and was in a great location. The other reviews were helpful. We would stay here again in a heart beat. Our travels were in late June so the weather was not great (Summer in US and winter in Argentina). Great places to eat near Florida st. Breakfast at the hotel is great! Only thing of note - a little stuffy in the rooms, bathroom fan does not work well and felt a little humid. No big.

US travelers Warning - Did not read about this prior to booking. Argentina & Chile have a $140 USD recipricol fee to all travelers. Got off the plan and doubled my vacation cost. It is good for 10yrs but be AWARE! From EZE airport - took a "ramises" private car to the hotel for $150 pesos (32USD). Factor in tip to driver and bag handler.
