Decent Location
Prices better then the Large Hotels. Rooms are comfortable, recently updated by lack luxurious feel. The first two days there was only cool water in the shower, the desk told us "We don't have Hot Water", finally on the third we found a maintenance man who fixed the problem.

Nice for a two day stay
We extended our stay with two days at Brickell Bay. The place was lovely and clean, but needs more than one umbrella at the pool. The sun is so hot, you need to take cover in the shade and there was none. Room was very comfortable and clean. The directions to the safe were for the former safe, it had been replaced, but the directions had not. We had to call maintenance to show us how to open. All and all, we had a nice stay at Brickell Bay. The staff were very friendly and courteous.

Near Beach and Restaurants
While in Aruba we went snorkeling as well as took a jeep tour of the island. We rented the Jeep for about $100.00 and saw the whole island. We visited the California lighthouse, viewed the Natural Bridge and visited Baby Beach where you can rent equiptment for about $10.00 and do snorkeling. We laid out and had a great time. The Brickell Bay hotel is nice for the price. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Make sure to take bug spray and extra protection against the sun. Our trip was wonderful and we would re-visit Aruba again...the restaurants are wonderful and the most amazing place was the Flying Fishbone restaurant where we literally dined in the water....so beautifully romantic. We would also stay in this hotel again. Came home relaxed.

could be a great hotel
I normally travel for business, this trip combined some R&R with my wife. restricted on travel budget and high season in aruba. I read +/- comments on hotel but it came out to be okay and got a upgraded room, it's a hotel to sleep and layout at pool but no social enviroment or bar, only at pool and welcome free drink but what they want to give you! its ahotel okay for business travel or budget. good access to beach and location, center to all store, rest, shopping.recommed shop for a good car rental to move round or good bus system close to hotel. if management would be more commited could be a great hotel, it has the right elements

A Pleasant Stay
A good hotel; great location. The staff was always helpful and understood English. They have a good pool, it is a very short walk to the beach and every kind of eating place. The Internet access was OK, and their complementary breakfast good. Food is very expensive on Aruba, so the breakfast saves you a lot of money. I wish they sold fruit at the hotel, and had screens for the windows. Some nights I left them open and that worked pretty well.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Get on the bus and go toward down town. Stop at the grocery stores and pick up some fruit, drinks, snacks, etc. Every meals costs over $10, and so buying your own food for snacks saves a lot of money.

A Christmas Getaway
The hotel was convenient to touring, white sandy beach, a nice pool, and good restaurants. The hotel itself could have been better. The room was sparse, although the room we had was described as the "new room" which was newly renovated. It looked more to me like recently painted. Amenities listed in the brochure were not furnished - ex. coffee maker and hair dryer. After two days of requesting these items from different managers, a coffee maker was brought to the room with regular coffee and 1 decafinated coffee packet. When the decaf coffee was used and more requested, we were told (after three deliveries of regular coffee by housekeeping) that they had run out and we should go to the store and get our own decaf coffee. After two days, the hair dryer was installed in the room. Language difficulty was the major reason requests for service was so problematic. ie when we requested the hair dryer as listed in the brochure, housekeeping brought up a towel. I'm still not sure people in the hotel understand what decaf coffee is. A coupon was provided for a "welcome beverage" at the pool which could only be used for an alcoholic punch drink - not suitable for persons who must restrict their intake of sugar. A simple glass of wine would have been fine, but that would not be furnished. I would try another hotel if we make another trip to Aruba as the island and the people we met there were delightful. The service personnel in restaurants are outstanding.

Great place friendly staff
Great hotel, in the middle of the high-rise resort area. The hotel was on the other side of the road to the beach front hotels. Staff was very nice and friendly. Internet is limited to 30minutes but were able to use salt and pepper free internet next door. If you (like us) don't plan to just stay at the resort and actually see Aruba then this provides a great bed.
