A very stylish and comfortable hotel within 10 minutes walking distance of the Canberra CBD. Our room was small but very well designed and equipped. Furniture and fixtures were of a very high quality. Parking near the hotel is limited, but secure off street parking was available for an extra $15 day.

Fantastic location with all services - great breakfast included in price, access to best broadsheet newspapers, pool, gym and wi-fi. A shame that gym and wi-fi access is additional cost but still very good value.
The hotel needs painting and new carpet (getting quite marked in places) which is probably why it is so affordable given the great location.

Was a great room, very nice and comfortable. Was modern and fresh. Only problem we had was the rooms didnt have proper curtins!!!!! Had lace curtins, could see right into the room with the lights on and very bright early in the morning after our late night. Otherwise everything was flawless.

The hotel is really well located and so spare time during the stay meant that we didn't have to stay in the confines of the hotel but could go into town shopping.
We actually didn't not spend a lot of time in the hotel other than for showering and sleeping, but it seemed a really nice, very pleasant place to stay and if we had to spend time in the hotel, it would not have been a problem.

After reading other not-so-favourable reviews I was a little apprehensive about staying at the Novotel, but it offered the best deal for our party of 2 adults and 2 kids - other hotels didn't allow more than 2 or 3 guests to a room. The room was neat and clean, the towels were thick and large - the kids loved the pool, though it was a little cool. The best part of staying at the Novotel was the proximity to the shops and restaurant area of the Canberra city area - one very short block away! I would stay there again.

The hotel is a little bit out from the main drag - a good 25 minutes walk to Civic. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Had dinner in the restaurant one night and was pleasantly surprised.

Pleasant hotel with lovely atrium gardens. Meal prices very good and of a nice quality.
Beds comfy, quiet location but probably a car needed, however in saying this the hotel offers transfers and a bus pulls up at the front, approx a 15minute leisurely walk to the Dickson shops/restaurants.
Front desk staff were great, and the complimentary transfers are a great asset for this hotel.
An older type building but then in Canberra this is the norm.

Location to Manuka is good, but a fair way to the city centre & tourist attractions. Cannot fault the service by the staff, the only down side to the hotel is the limited restaurant menu. Plenty of nice places to eat close by in Manuka & Kingston though. Stayed in a standard queen room, bed was comfortable and there were no issues with the bathroom. Well priced accommodation and would stay again.

Started off good, one receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful.
The first breakfast we were greeted and asked how we preferred eggs, poached is the best way to go(depends on chef), the plating started with 2 eggs and 2 toast, next day 2 eggs 1 toast, last day 2 eggs no toast!! FOUR star hotel??
Bar closes too early, 10pm when the shutters go down.
The Friday night and dinner in the hotel, it was NOT of the quality for the price, also sitting next to people ordering a take-away pizza to their room and the hotel accommodated this!
The bar closed early, risotto too wet, lamb shanks were tough, the cheese board was lacking in the menu declared varieties and they were extremely poor considering that some of the local cheeses are better.
Loved the receptionist disliked the food and the restriction of the services (bar fridges in a room do not qualify as bar service (at those prices))
AND the TV did not have the full digital spectrum, minor, but!!(4* hotel)

Very spacious room, with a high standard of cleanliness...great to have plates and kitchen utensils, microwave etc. There are also much more than the usual number of satellite channels and high definition channels. Close to lots of restaurants, it is also within a short drive to the centre of Canberra. This will definitely be my choice of accommodation for our next visit there.

Tried a couple of times for contact with reception from room and was not answered so I went around there and it was 10 mins past closing time used after hours bell and was ignored.(it was raining)
Had confirmed with your man on Chat that it was a disabled room, he said it would be, when we arrived this had not been noted but the receptionist was very helpful and arranged for one.
A disabled shower should have access to a plastic chair to sit on for shower . The comode chair was good but different dissabilities different needs we understand that.
The access for disabled as in wheelchairs was excellent in the unit.
A thought possible when parked it could be flatter.

I'm disgusted to think I was not

I'm disgusted to think I was not told pior to the booking that the restaurant would not be open for dinner on Saturday nights. I would certainly not have stayed there had I have known this and it totally spoiled my plans for the evening.
I sincerely HOPE this message gets forwarded to somene in management whoat least cares about the 'paying guests' who provide HIS livelihood.

We were there on night to attaned a function elsewhere in Canberra. The pool looked good but not in winter. Breakfast was good value. Motel very clean, with friendly staff. Only downside was having to park underneath, away from our room.

Comfortable serviced apartments

Visiting family. Serviced apartments are the best cost effective option in Canberra. There are several complexes in Kingston. This place is perfectly satisfactory but I'd not want to stay there in summer when busy as the units are close to and face a small swimming pool and noise could be an issue.
