Enjoyed our stay at Mantra. Getting
Enjoyed our stay at Mantra. Getting the heating to work was a bit tricky. Parking is an extra $12 per day, but if its the weekend you can easily park behind the hotel.

Although I had booked with HotelClub,
Although I had booked with HotelClub, the hotel had to search for the booking over a period of about 20mins. Then, on checkout, they tried to charge me again! They didn't seem as organised as other places I have stayed. Even though I hung the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door, I returned at the end of the day to find that the staff had been into the room---& replaced one towel----but not the 2nd one!! Otherwise I was very happy with the hotel.

The apartment was fine, just the cleaning of the place was not up to a good standard attention to detail was required in side and out on balcony. air con was too noisy and room was not sound proof from other tennents in block.

Stayed over Christmas period.
Stayed over Christmas period. Reception staff always very pleasant and helpful. Room staff same. Apartment well appointed modern and clean. Dining room operation limited mostly to breakfast at this time, but given proximity to city centre, many food establishments close by so not a problem. Pool/gym facilities looking a bit run-down, but otherwise OK. TV channels limited, no DVD player. Would stay at Mantra again.

friendly and convenient
I was in Canberra with my two brothers, dealing with some family matters. Mantra Hotel was really conveniently located, staff was very friendly, price was reasonable, and the suites with kitchenettes and laundry facilities were perfect for our needs. Having a fantastic gourmet pizza place, good dining spots, a popular nightclub, and an Officeworks within a few minutes' walk made this all the more convenient. The sofas could have done with cleaner and more updated upholstery, though.
