We stayed for a night and although its cold outside, the air-con was working nicely. The shower facility was great and the room is clean and tidy. Will go back to stay again if in the area!

Rooms clean and well presented.

Rooms clean and well presented. Breakfast service in the restaurant significantly below standard and value of food low. We had a half price breakfst and it wasn't worth even what we paid. Staff not accommodating and providing minimum of service. I was told to find my own cutlery off another table, we weren't shown to a table at all, and my husband's request to refill the muesli was met with 'well, I'll HAVE to go and get it!" instead of 'yes sir, of course!'

We booked this at the last minute

We booked this at the last minute and got excellent value, so much so that after paying for it I thought there had to be a catch. There wasn't. The hotel was superbly located, the facilities were excellent and the staff were really accommodating. The 'double shower' as a real surprise

Was not up to a 4.5 star standard:

Was not up to a 4.5 star standard: desk staff gave incorrect directions to local event, and don't remove signage for shuttle next day after the event. Breakfast was nice . Do not think tourism in the Hunter does itself many favours as seems to be focused on the $ rather than the hospitality. Can see why locals avoid. Would try to stay elsewhere next time , for similar money and a different experience.

Priviledge rooms are beautiful.

Priviledge rooms are beautiful. Stunning layout, and bed was comfy. Private courtyard was lovely with path out to main path surrounding pool. Friendly service. Central to Hunter Valley Gardens. Only small things were issue, ie; espresso machine didn't work, and phone had no power attachment.

The only downside was a water leak near our car space. Proximity to the gardens, wineries and the village are an advantage.
