We are a family of 5. This is a budget hotel fantastic for families who don't want to be pushed into two rooms. We stayed for 4 nights and apart from some intermittent street noise (passers by on the way home) we had a comfortable stay. The staff were really helpful and accommodating. The location is fantastic for getting to chinatown, right opposite haymarket for an easy breakfast and darling harbour all within a short walk. To reach the other end of town the free bus runs up george street straight to the quay. Would recommend it for big families..just remember it is budget and you only sleep there. We found it clean, comfortable and really convenient.

Great Economical Hotel in Sydney
Very affordable yet quality kept hotel in Sydney. Near enough to CBD and Central train station. No frills place keeps the cost down. Nice large room and large TV. Bathroom could have been better, but oh well. Very helpful staff as well. Right across from the large Paddy Market.

Service is friendly and cheerful;
Service is friendly and cheerful; common areas of the hotel are clean; rooms are functional and clean; location is great (near Central station; in Chinatown); price is great. This is probably not the hotel to choose if you are looking for a luxury, pampered stay of the kind where you don't want to leave your room because it is so luxurious. On the other hand, if you want somewhere to sleep in Sydney that is clean, friendly, comfortable, well situated for transport, in an interesting area, and at a good price, then I would recommend Aarons. Another plus is that you can open the windows. I liked the ability to open windows for a little fresh air, and the ceiling fans, rather than being stuck in a sealed airconditioned room (though the do also have airconditioners). Opening the windows comes at a price - some traffic noise, and the sound of everyone else's airconditioning), but I thought it was worth it.

Very easy to find..across the street from Paddy's Mkts..Asian eateries everywhere..Central Station a short walk away..We paid an extremely cheap price..only $60 a nite...was expecting a bit of a dive..but this hotel had everything we needed..nice and clean..flat screen TV..bed was comfortable..my only gripe was the noise..but last I heard the city still has to keep movin' even though we are on holidays..Would definitely stay here again..

Old budget hotel in very good
Old budget hotel in very good location. Some issues with housekeeping, but the problem was solved. Be aware that the hotel books groups, especially school children, so the hotel can be very noisy at times.

Standard double was adequate for
Standard double was adequate for one person. There was a great deal of noise at night which appeared to be coming from the clearing of rubbish from the nearby market. This went on at intervals all night. Sound proofing of the windows would help to remedy this.

Great stay
My wife and I had a great stay here! The room was very nice and clean and the staff was friendly. The location was also good for getting around. Make sure to book online as doing it at the hotel is much more expensive.
