We had a room that had not been
We had a room that had not been properly cleaned. More importantly there was a karooke bar next door and the noise was load and at a late hour. Well after 12.30 in the morning. Management knew about it and still has taken no action to remedy the situation.

Very central. bus stops round
Very central. bus stops round the corner at George St. to take you down to Circular Quay or down town. Tram stop also round the corner.Train station is 5 mins walk, China Town is 5 mins walk. Darling Harbour is 10 mins walk. Lots of restaurant and cafes around. Rooms are small. No way to put luggage. Clean, quiet and comfortable.

Very noisy so don't even think
Very noisy so don't even think about sleeping in (though you are not supposed to do so often) after a late night. Facilities is very very very average, not much on offer at all. So if you are only after a place to sleep at night and don't mind the crampness of the room configuration, the look of the place (hotel and room), the weak water flow from the shower head then this place is "OK" for less than $50/night/head/bed. Travel Lodge is a better place to stay, I should have stayed there.

Just 2mins walk to China town,
Just 2mins walk to China town, very close to central railway station. 10mins walk to townhall. Free shuttle bus just next the the hotel. Very Very Very good location. Heart of City, but quiet. Small but Tidy. Suggest!!

Great location & good price.
The
Great location & good price. The bed was not the best I've slept on, I needed to ask for a plug for the bath/handbasin & the tv remote was missing its "back" & did not work. The staff were helpful & friendly.

No frills but good location
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and chose it because of the location and the cheaper price. We had stayed in Sydney during the first 3 nights of our trip through Australia and we had stayed at a much better hotel for about the same price. The room here was very claustrophobic. If you are someone who knows you won't be spending a lot of the time in your room and can get it for a good price, then the location makes it worthwhile. Check-in and check-out was very smooth and all the employees we dealt with were friendly and courteous.

If you don't mind walking, don't bother to buy one of those multiple use transportation passes. My friend and I were able to walk to all the major sights within 15-20 minutes. It is worth taking a ferry ride once but you can just purchase a one time ticket for that. Also, if you are from the States, (even NYC!), you will find food and drinks a bit expensive, so be prepared! Cocktails will run 14-15 American dollars and there is no such thing as a 2 dollar cup of coffee to go!

The quality of service changed
The quality of service changed according to the employees. The person at the front desk on monday 10th of august at 5 am (when I checked out) was extremely friendly and polite. I wish all the employees were like him.
