good priced hotel for the good location

Pros: The hotel is located in the center of Sydney, free 555 bus to the harbour bridge and the opera house (less than 10 mins ride). Two blocks away the main george st. Everything very convenient. Cons: The hotel is pretty old styled and they don't have options for 2 bed.

Fantastic location, quaint but

Fantastic location, quaint but aging hotel however, the noise from the construction next door (fm 7am-6pm) then the noise from airconditioning power units on nearby buildings make for a very noisy stay. The staff were great and did move me but alas the noise level was really no different on the other side of the hotel. Management really need to look at double glazing the windows!!

Exceptional location and price

Excellent, quiet location close to everything in the area. Price was very reasonable and staff friendly. While internet access is available for a daily fee, free internet is avaialable at several local eateries. Hotel staff provided access to a printer for creating boarding pass. Would definetly use the hotel if I return to Sydney.

Friendly staff. Location is in

Friendly staff. Location is in the CBD which is excellent. Building is renovated, quaint, older fashion style. My room could have better lighting...as it was a bit dreary. Airconditioning is quiet and seamless - they did a really good job on that. Wi-fi cost 10.00 a day - not bad. One neutral/negative experience was leaving my bags at checkout. They didn't tag my bag or give me a claim receipt for my two items I left there on my checkout day. The clerk in the evening gave me a hard time (understandably and jokingly so) because I had no receipt or tag. How was he to know what bags belonged to me...what was to stop anyone from claiming and taking my luggage and laptop?

Loved the hotel. Rooms quite

Loved the hotel. Rooms quite small but functional. Staff very friendly. Central to lots of attractions. Walking distance to Central Quay, Botanical Gardens, Opera house, Museums, Sydney Tower, and loads of others. Check out the free city shuttle that stops a block away. Cons: a contruction project was underway next door starting at 7 am. Not too noisy but if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the other side. Bathroom floor not mopped and showed boot prints from previous occupant, rest of the room was very clean. Main restaurant was closed for supper but the lounge offers food and there are alternatives nearby. Free, but slow, internet available around the corner at Mc Donalds, cheap internet at Starbucks around another corner and Subway across the street offers internet unknown if there is a charge or not. Hotel charges $10.00/day. I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends without hesitation.
