Great spot to start exploring Sydney
Good hotel and value when I booked it and stayed in late January, just before Australia Day. Centrally located to train stations and the touristy Darling Harbor. Had a nice room with a view of the harbor. Overall good experience, but...as to why I checked 1 ("Not Good") on the amenities box and why I can not recommend this hotel: the internet. For me, this was a deal breaker. Free Wi-fi is only available in the lobby and there is only an in-room ethernet connection available for $25AUD per day. This is unacceptable. For guests staying at the hotel, internet should be free. I can't remember the last hotel I stayed at where internet was not free for guests. The hotel management should take notice of this, if it's not apparently obvious already by the always large crowd of folks in the lobby with their iPhones/iPads/laptops...

Great Location
We were able to walk to all the major attractions from this hotel -- the Opera House, the Rocks Market, Circular Quay, and the Sydney ferries. Plus, Cocklebay Wharf is just steps away with great restaurants, shopping, and the aquarium. The rooms were pretty expensive, but we didn't end up paying much for taxis (just to/from the airport) so we were happy.

Darling trip
When we arrived at 8:30 am our room was ready! Noise from the elevators was disturbing, so we requested another room which we were given immediately. There was free WiFi in the lobby, where there was abundant comfortable seating. Richard, a wonderful concierge, was pleasant and helpful, listened to what we wanted and enthusiastically scheduled the perfect low-key tour for us. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend the Four Points Sheraton highly.

Right on Darling Harbour
The Four Points is located directly next to the aquarium, and pedestrian bridge over the water. It is a nice location with several restaurants on the water. It is about a mile from the Circular Quay where you catch the ferries to go over to Manly Beach, the Zoo, etc. It is a very nice hotel, clean, and very friendly, helpful staff. The restaurant is nice, with good food. For the price, it was great!.

FANTASTIC
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. They upgraded us to a harbor view without our asking. Our fourth floor room had an excellent view of Darling Harbor and was right over the Sydney Aquarium. The National Maritime Museum was right across the harbor and accessible by footbridge. Food was expensive in Australia.

Great hotel, great location
Checked in at 10:00am and they had a nice room ready. Much appreciated! Also love the free wi-fi in the lobby. Restarant prices are high, as is all food in Sydney. Location is great, just walk across the bridge to Darling Harbor or walk three minutes to QVB or five minutes to Hyde Park.
