On arrival put in a room facing
On arrival put in a room facing brick wall, on complaining changed room to a harbour side veiw which was terrific. Plumbing could be heard from next room. Staff very welcoming at all times.

Location-Excellent Employees-Pleasant and Friendly Rooms-Old and outdated-letter left in room was that all rooms have been outfitted with new flat screen TV's yet my room still has old TV Internet-$24.00 a day!!!! Breakfast-$35.00 Laundry-2 shirts/2 pants/1 t-shirt $70.00 Repairs needed in room? Upon checkin my old TV wasn't working had to call three times (once an hour) before someone showed up. When they showed up they had nothing with them. Took another hour to repair In the end the great location and freindly employees are noth worth the overall costs for the extra services and slow response to handle simple repairs to the room

Eat Breakfast at one of the restaurants on the Harbor. You can mave a fresh cook to order breakfast with coffee sitting by the harbor for $12.00 versus $35.00 cold buffet breakfast at the hotel. Only a short 3 minute walk to the Harbor

Saddened by hidden charges, but overall
Overall stay was enjoyable, however we were enfuriated at checkout by hidden charges.We made local telephone calls from our room and received a $91 bill at check out on top of our regular charge. It was not posted anywhere visible that there were charges or fees associated with using the telephone for local calls. As a matter of fact, we were even charged for incoming calls from local relatives. We thought it absolutely ludicrous that we were charged for local calls in the first place but more so at the amount of the calls. This was a dampener on what was until checkout,a beautiful experience. Hotel was right in Darling Harbour across the walkway from the Aquarium and World wildlife. It was within a 5 minute walk of shopping, dining and entertainment. There were several taxi's available as well as water ferries and a tour bus right outside the back of the hotel. The hotel was also within a ten minute walk from Queen Victoria Building and Sydney Tower.

Double decker tour bus stop is right behind the hotel at the aquarium, you can purchase a ticket for a 24 hour service, hop on and hop off at any of the other Sydney Inner City Attraction and not have to pay for any additional transportation fares.

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay
We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this Sheraton. The staff were all lovely and helpful and the location perfect for us to access the convention centre which was a short 10min stroll along Darling Harbour. Although the bathroom needed a bit of an overhaul, the fabulous duckdown pillow made up for it.

Smooth check in and staff where
Smooth check in and staff where nice even though they messed up our room service breakfast, room maintenance for a 5? star was not good, Remote battery was flat, light bulb not working, and toilet flush kept running on after each refill ( while hotel asked us to save water by not renewing our towels each day) and curtains would not close properly, buffey breakfast was only average for this quality of hotel, although my wife did get perfect pouched eggs on request. Would stay again at Hotel Rates but would not want to pay their full rate as would not be worth the money.
