Great renovated rooms but airport accessibility issues
Generally positive experience. Staff was mostly polite and efficient. Rooms were recently renovated and were very comfortable. Stayed at the hotel for easy access to Sydney Airport and was disappointed by the ease, convenience (about 1 every 40 min.), and cost (charge A$6) of hotel to airport transfer. Would have rated the hotel higher if not for the poor connections to the airport.

A good facility with friendly
A good facility with friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. Lunch menu overpriced. Dinner menu fine. Thanks again. Will return again next year.

We were travelling with our 16
We were travelling with our 16 month old daughter and needed to be close to the International terminal for an early flight in the morning. This hotel was excellent for convenience, service and comfort. A portacot was brought to the room straight away, already made up! The restaurant and bar staff were very helpful, allowing me to heat up my daughter's food as there was no microwave in the room. The shuttle bus was easy and only took about 5 mins to the terminal. We paid the $6 each per adult on the hotel bill so we didn't need to have the cash ready for the driver. I would definitely stay here again.

mercure sydney airport
I had spent so much money already on my australia trip, as i was flying from brisbane-atlanta, i decided to do the brisbane sydney leg the previous day and stay at the mercure. it was cheaper than the alternatives, but you get what you pay for. room was well worn, restaurant has culinary pretensions that it cannot live up to (order the pizza and other simple to make things) but there is nothing else around. on the good side they know their airport business, they got me in fast, and out to the airport with taxi reasonably quickly. wake up call reliable. this is all you need. 2.5-3 stars. Staff is young, which means probably not well paid, so if they stay in the business, they will move up to better hotel.

Airport Location ONLY
Hotel ways convenient to access airport in the morning. The ride to or from airport cost an addition $6 for each rider, each way. Transportation was suppose to be every 1/2 hour but was every 40 minutes. Had to change rooms due to TV not working.

Will stay again. Restaurant on site, ducted aircond, bar on site, has an ATM (non bank), but all in all, nearest cheapish hotel to international terminal. Quite a fair walk from train station thuough, but its walkable from the international terminal, and the 400 route bus passes nearby, and there is always the $6 shuttle.

Excellent service. We upgraded our room on the spot and included buffet breakfast for 4 people for $35. Win win :) The extra bed for a child was $45 so it was an easy decision.
