Positive: very good location in downtown Sydney and clean room. Negative - first of all, you will pay for everything even storing your luggage for a few hours at this hotel, no bellmen for luggage, very small, slow lift elevators, tiny rooms, very small bathroom, must check out by 10 am, no parking, rude to helpful front desk staff, tried to charge for local call after explaining we had two mobile phone - overall, I would only stay here if no other rooms available. The location of the hotel is right convenient to the subway BUT very noisy. Forget about trying to recover from jet lag during the day - WAY TOO NOISY. We tried to lock the windows for security but found one lock completely broken off. When we reported it to the front desk - the security shrugged their shoulder and said "That's on the 12th floor" We left nothing of value in the room

Comfortable hotel, centrally located
I visited for 5 days during the Easter school holidays.. Found the hotel to be ideally located with everything I needed within a reasonable walking distance (eg 20 minutes to Circular Quay) and easy access to the train network (Town Hall 2 streets over, Central Station 15 minutes walk, Museum station 5 minutes walk). Found the rooms to be of a quite comfortable size for one person. Recommend you visit the top level pool deck at least once to capture the views.

Park Regis City Centre
Recommended by my Doctor, it is truly the most centrally located hotel; easy to monorail and train and walking down to Circular Quay. Bed very comfortable, coffee maker could be upgraded, bathroom a little too small, staff absolutely super.

Good experience, great location
My wife and I stayed 3 nights and the overall experience was very good. The location was superb, while the room was clean and compact. There wasn't much extra room after one accounted for the king bed (which was very comfortable). However, since we were basically only in the room to sleep, it suited our needs perfectly. The desk staff was always friendly and helpful, including recommending a wonderful Thai restaurant.

Central City Sydney Hotel
Park Regis was great: competent and helpful staff, great location, clean rooms, nice views of the city, and easy walking distance to many key sights. Rooms are small but very functional. Highly recommended.

Good location but hotel room is small. Not worth the money.
Despite the good location, the hotel room & the bathroom is small. No long bath. Only Shower. Expensive for this kind of standard.

Park Regis Hyde Park
Hotel is right in the middle of everything...easy access to sites you care about including tourist stuff, church, transportation, parks. Sydney is a bit spendy but there are many options within easy access including a Woolworths grocery and convenience stores. Many of the bars, pubs and restaurants have specials. Don't be afraid to haggle a bit at some of the higher end gift places...especially for Ugg boots. We went there during the Aussie winter and it was very pleasant...jeans and a sweatshirt. Noisy in the streets at all hours so bring ear plugs for sleeping.
