Excellant location. We arrived
Excellant location. We arrived on late night flight and was so easy to get train to station and then just cross road to Hotel. Getting around Sydney by bus,train or ferry was all close by. Room was a good size and clean. Staff very friendly. A great place to stay.

Excellent location adjacent to
Excellent location adjacent to rail station and buses. Can take train directly to hotel from the airport. Easy walking distance from many CBD attractions. Our room had a king size bed and a view over the park. It was a reasonable size with drawers, wardrobe, long desk, table and two comfortable chairs. Staff were helpful and polite. The swimming pool and spa pool were adequate but not very attractive. We didn't use any of the bars or restaurant as there are so many others to choose from close by.

Room was passable but not up to
Room was passable but not up to expectations. Rips in carpet dirty bath room tiles well worn bathroom, no view. Spa had tiles lifting and sauna timbers deteriorating. Gym was in good order though.

The Wynyard Rooms are basic but
The Wynyard Rooms are basic but quite spacious and meet all requirements. The wake-up call failed to materialise but fortunately I woke up by myself albeit 45 minutes later. There was a long wait at Check Out. Mind you, one guest kept one of the two clerks tied up for at least fifteen minutes. Room Service food was not good. But then, in what Hotel is the Room Service food any good? The turkey in a club sandwich was tainted, the bacon fried to crackling. Bread was cut 20mms thick: impossible to pick up. They all seem to think a huge serve of chips will make up for the discrepancies. The mark-up on wine is outrageous. But isn't that the case all over the world?

great location at a good value
we were on holiday and the Menzies is in a great location, and the prices are good. we were an easy walk to most of the sights in Sydney. the airport was just a short train ride away.

you can find a great place for breakfast in the arcade right next store. Breakfast at the Hotel 62.00 , the cafe in the arcade 30.00. (this is the prices for two)

Was surprised at how run down
Was surprised at how run down the rooms were even though I am aware it is an older hotel. There was gungy black matter around the taps in the bathroom and the bathroom did not appear to be very clean. Whenever we changed the channel on the tv it made a loud clunking sound, like someone was banging on the door. The air conditioner was very old fashioned and I could not work out how to turn it off (there were no instructions) whihc resulted in me coughing all night. It wasn't the relaxing, comnfortable night I was looking forward to.

Excellent location---easy walk
Excellent location---easy walk to both Circular Quay & Darling Harbour. Pricing not too bad for centre of city. Bed was just so comfortable(really recommend. Only fault one very humid night air conditioning in room failed to keep the room cool enough although main area(dining room & foyer etc.) were O.K.
