The staff where very friendly
The staff where very friendly and helpful, They even gave am an early check in as I arrived on an early flight and stopped in to just leave my bag there until I could check in at the check in time. But the staff advised me they had a room ready now if I wanted to check in. I would stay there again when I visit Sydney again.

First time Aussies
Loved the Vibe!
What a great place! You never know when you're booking a hotel sight-unseen, but the Vibe was a great choice for us. It's just ~2 blocks from the Museum train station and ~10 minute walk from Darling Harbour. My husband and I walked from there all around the city--up to the Opera House, to Circular Quay, the Rocks, etc. The decor is modern and the rooms are clean and spacious with large, flat-panel TVs, mini-fridges, wine/champagne glasses, hair dryers, irons/boards, etc.The pool is on the roof, which is cool, and there are tables and chairs up there as well, which we planned on utilizing for our own little happy hour wine and cheese party with friends, but unfortunately there was a thunder & lightening storm the night we wanted to do that! Luckily, our room was nice enough (with two art deco chairs and a small, round glass table)that we were able to have the happy hour in there.Downstairs in the Vibe's restaurant you can enjoy a great happy hour as well. Drinks are just $4 (for the identified variety of wine, beer & champagne), which is unheard of in this expensive town! And they have a great 'bar' menu as well (written on one of the mirrors, not printed on the actual menu).We found the staff very helpful and polite; we did encounter a small glitch with a reservation they helped us with, but I'm sure it was just an honest mistake. Our room was a little noisy even up on the 5th floor since the Vibe is on a busy street, but I just popped in my ear plugs (which I found I used throughout my vacation!) and slept away.We would definitely recommend the Vibe and booking on [...] gave us a great price!

Nice hotel within walking distance
Nice hotel within walking distance to Chinatown end of Sydney. Very comfortable bed with nicely furnished room. Stayed on the 9th floor though which was only accessible by stairs after getting off on the 8th! Marked down for service as one morning there was no hot water available but could not obtain reasonable information from staff regarding what was wrong or when it'd be fixed - was out most of the day and not informed that it was back on - had to test it!

Excellent rooftop pool - unfortunately no shade provided. Spacious bedroom / lounge and bathroom. Very comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff. Within walking distance of public transport system. Lift to 8th floor only so if you are on 9th you have to negotiate two flights of stairs.

The location is the only worth-staying
The location is the only worth-staying thing. I was disappointing when I checked in... Cos I thought that 4 stars hotel should be better than the one I lived at. The facilities in the room were so so...There were only 2 small chairs in the room,were not comfort to sit on at all...The decoration,the beddings... everthing inside the room need renovation and upgrade...Will not try this hotel anymore.

The rooms in this hotel are very modern and there is a sofa so there is not much wrong with the rooms. The front desk seem to be a little confused at times and when requested to order a taxi, went outside and hailed one which I could have done myself. There is little to do in the evening in the hotel and the restaurant could do with expanding. We arrived back at the hotel at about 10.00 and the bar was closed so we could not get a goodnight drink. The location is a walk to the famous harbour but it is worth it passing through some very nice gardens on a warm day.

Great Spot
Easy, short walking distance to city-center, shopping, parks and harbours. Although this hotel does not have a dining room, it does have a fantastic little cafe serving simple but yummy meals.
