The lighting in the bathroom is a bit low but overall I am pleased with the service and the staff. I will continue to stay at your hotel on my visits to Brisbane. You do have excellent staff.

I'm becoming a regular guest at
I'm becoming a regular guest at The Portal. The hotel has developed some more charm over the past few months. The small rooms are not a problem for the one or two nighter business traveller. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and the facilities are good. The air conditioner/heater is complicated and I have never worked it out yet! The restaurant is a little pricey so I usually eat in other nearby hotels and restaurants. A good boutique hotel with many more positives than negatives.

Excellent accommodations for the price.
We did not spend much time in the hotel but it was all we needed to rest after long and busy days of sightseeing. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Yes, the rooms are a little on
Yes, the rooms are a little on the small size, but really who cares if the service and hotel is just terrific like the Portal. The big flatscreen TV is great and hangs on the wall, the bed is super comfy, the rooms are quiet and the staff here are just fabulous, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely and fresh and new, the shower is great, no bath, has a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The restaurant is wonderful, try the barramundi dish..to die for. The staff here are also terrific. The gnocci is so light and fluffy, sauce delish. Breakfast is cooked to order, so no lukewarm ordinary buffet food here! Great choice. The Portal even has a turndown service, and housekeeping is A1. I travel quite a bit, and think this is a little gem, easy access thru to town, and the street is nice and quiet.

I have stayed in quite a few top
I have stayed in quite a few top hotels in Brisbane and I must say that from the first moment we arrived to check in to the last moment at check out, we received not only from the Reception staff but also the Housekeeping staff nothing but polite, friendly and welcoming attention. I would not hesitate either to recommend or return this Hotel.

Friendly staff, free wi fi! :) small rooms, good TV, Ipod Dock (but getting old- like the airconditioner, not really working). Over all good value.

We stayed 4 nights in Portal Hotel. The hotel has very chic deco which I love. The service is good too and room is always keep at the tip top condition with house keeping done more than once per day! Other than the room is really small, the rest is great! It even come with a small balcony!
