A new hotel still finding its
A new hotel still finding its feet. Rooms are small but comfortable. Service in the restaurant was a bit patchy but the food and wine was great. Handy to Central Railway Station and medical practices on Wickham Terrace. Side rooms a little more private than front facing ones.

Lovely hotel, with helpful staff.
Lovely hotel, with helpful staff. The room wasn't very big compared to some we stayed at but the fittings etc. were excellent and in particular the bed linen was luxurious!

Nice furnishings and rooms although quite small and not what you would expect for a 4 star property due to size. Definately good value although there is no pool on site. Handy location (same as Novotel) and definately would stay here again.

I found the Hotel just to be what we were looking for, it was idealy sittuated. The staff and management were superb, they really go that extra mile for the customers/guests. just as we have experienced first hand. We will stay there again without a doubt. The Portal to Brisbane
Excellent location and great price. The hotel is easily within walking distance from Chinatown on one side and the downtown Brisbane area on the other side. And, if you're looking for some quiet, away from the bustling city, while it's still within walking distance of all of the attractions, its far enough away so that you don't have to hear all of the noise. Also, the interior is all new and modern. The rooms are crisp and clean. Though, if you wish for your linens to be cleaned daily, you will need to take them off the bed and leave them on the floor.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Consider the Ferris Wheel at night. We saw some fantastic views from there. For a picturesque walk or a local movie theater, consider taking a walk over the bridge to the IMAX theater. Also, try not to miss the market in the downtown for some great food and wine.

Nice quiet place, excellent location (very close to Brisbane Central railway station, the Queens Mall), reasonable room rate (if ordered via HotelClub, which gives ca. 20 per cent discount), cosy clean rooms. Conversely, the hotel restaurant/bar is pretty expensive, but that is not a problem at all as there are many other places around where you can eat. Friendly and helpful staff. If you have your laptop with you, you can get an Internet connection both via a cable and Wi-Fi.
