Excellent accommodations for the price.
We did not spend much time in the hotel but it was all we needed to rest after long and busy days of sightseeing. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Really comfortable stay, a great
Really comfortable stay, a great little recluse, staff were friendly and helpful. Central to Queen St Mall and The Valley (short walk to both), so your out of the hustle and bustle. The bar downstairs looked like a nice place to chill out, I will definately have a drink there next time I stay at The Portal! A Happy Customer.

A few minutes walk from the train
A few minutes walk from the train station(s) with frequent service to both airports make this hotel ideal. The room was quite cramped but OK for a couple of nights. Initial problems with the hi tech television service quickly remedied by friendly efficient staff member.

The Portal Hotel was a pleasant
The Portal Hotel was a pleasant surprise however the king room was fairly small and not recommended if you have a lot of luggage.

A brand new hotel. Nice comfortable
A brand new hotel. Nice comfortable bed and sheets. Modern facilities in the room with a 37" flat screen TV. However the rooms are small and there is no table for work. Therefore its not recommended for business travel where u need to work in the room.
