The feeling is bad when we stepped

The feeling is bad when we stepped into the room. The room is not clean and the mattress is the worst ever we experienced in Australia hotel. The bar fridge is like 40 years old with rust all around. We had to pay extra money to upgrade to a 'normal room' (what they called the superior'. Other than that, breakfast is good and city view is excellent.

Bathroom could use an update,

Bathroom could use an update, stained and cracked tiles in shower. Staff very helpful, professional and friendly. Had a glitch with the 'paid' video which stopped halfway through. Got a great deal including awesome buffet breakky, very satisfying and included parking costs - reason we selected hotel and was our second stay.

I liked the Hotel and the staff

I liked the Hotel and the staff were very helpful. The one concern is that it is perched on the top of a steep hill well above the CBD and about a mile away from it so convenoent it is not! However, in view of the recent torrential downpours in Brisbane the location may not be all bad news.

We booked early and got upgraded

We booked early and got upgraded to a superior room which had a few little extras which were appreciated. Only disappointment was the bar and restaurant which shut around 9pm so no drinks after the cricket.

Food and wine was a bit overpriced.

Food and wine was a bit overpriced. I had a Superior Room which was anything but, needed decorating, bathroom average etc. The balcony was extremely small. No music channels on TV. Otherwise fine.
