great price and great location

The hotel was perfect for staying in downtown Brisbane. It was right across the street from the train station and in the lobby had the times for the next train back to the airport so you could estimate when you should WALK ACROSS THE STREET and hop on your train. You didn't have to lug your luggage and the hotel held our luggage while we took a two day trip to Cairns and then came back to Brisbane so we could just pack a smaller carry-on bag. It is right next to ANZAC Square which is a memorial park to veterans and one block from the Queen Street Mall and Adaleaide Street which is where all the bus stops are. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to the ferry. I am 52 so it took me more time to walk, 15-20 but i walk slow.

To go to the botanticals gardens, take the number 412 bus off Adleaide and George St and go to Too Wong village and then get the bus across the street, sorry can't remember the number but it was cheaper than taking a taxi and there is a bus stop right at the gardens. The 412 bus driver could tell you where to get the next bus. You get off the bus and go towards mall and pass it while it is to your right and cross over to the left at the next light and that is approx. where we got off from the gardens. Take the Gold Coast train to Sufers Paradise if you want to go to the beach. The train lets you off at a bus stop and someone there can tell you which bus to take. I just followed fellow young people who had bathing suits and got on and off when they did. When you get off the bus just ask where to catch the bus back to the train station. The beach was nice and like the jersey shore and Daytona Beach.
