Everything was good EXCEPT the
Everything was good EXCEPT the mattress on the bed, it obviously has never been turned over and when laying on the mattress, to roll over, you actually had to roll "uphill".

Exelent location. Had problems
Exelent location. Had problems with blocked drain in the bathroom which was promply fiixed the air conditioning/heating was not working but they supplied a heater. These things shouldn't happen in the first place. It dose have a great location for the price only if on special deal though. You would not want to pay full price for very old hotel even if the bathroom had a makeover.

Our allocated room was next to
Our allocated room was next to lift and the lift noise was totally intrusive. Hotel acknowledged they were aware of problem but we had to ask for another room Room comfortable but quite small and bathroom was vert small - definitely a one person affair.

My recent stay at the Marque Hotel
My recent stay at the Marque Hotel Brisbane was my first and from the first I walked in to book in I was greated with a friendly happy person. It took no time at all to have my key and up to the room on the 6th floor. As I settled into the room I found that the noise from the lifts going up and down the lift well made an unsettling noise and I knew I would not be able to sleep. I rang reception and informed them of the situation and was offered an alternitave room which was of a superior quality at no extra charge. I had a mos restful night sleep and I will be using the Hotel again but no the room near the lift wells.

Stayed in a Triple room - has
Stayed in a Triple room - has basic in-room facilities to meet basic needs. The bathroom was clean. Didn't actually use any other hotel facilities - there was another wedding occassion at the hotel on that night. Pretty good value for money - I would stay here again in the future.

For the price tag of $150, we
For the price tag of $150, we expected more than we got. The view of Southbank and the river were fabulous, but the room and the service left a lot to be desired. Hotel looks great from the outside and the foyer. The room was old, and the switches on the light panels were almost falling out. We didn't have any tea bags in our room (they hadn't been replaced with the last check-out), and when we rang reception to ask for some more, we were told to come down and get it ourselves. Housekeeping didn't really clean our bathroom, the bed was hastily rearranged, and none of the things we'd used (e.g. shower cap, 2 soaps) were replaced. And still no tea bags!!! Although the view is fabulous and the hotel is in a handy location, I wouldn't stay here again.
