i went to cairns alone to go diving, i just wanted a hotel close to the main area in town and the marina where i was going to catch my diving boat. this hotel provided both-- perfect location to get to everywhere on foot. and it was beautiful-- beautiful lobby, great room with a balcony, even though it was overlooking the city, i still had a glimpse of the marina, very clean, very big, especially for one. i didn't use any of it, but there was a great pool, spa, lots of bars and restaurants in the hotel, looked pretty good. i highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Sebel Cairns for 8 nights, thanks to a great rate we found on hotelclub.com. Perfect home away from home. The rooms are large, roomy, clean and comfortable with a great harbour view. Valet parking is expensive at $20 per day but we just used street parking instead. Hotel is in good condition, pity we could not use the pool as it was too cold and the spa just was not heated enough. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would stay there again based on the reasonable rates, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, and the excellent location of the hotel. Thumbs up Sebel!

The manager was extremely kind and helpful, and twice offered to drive us to town in bad weather, which made our rained-out stay more memorable.
The hotel is about 10-15 minutes' walk from town activities, which is not a problem if the weather is pleasant. One major plus is that this hotel offers 2 hours of free computer access.

Very relaxing environment yet close to attractions, shops and the Cairns waterfront. The facilities and srvice are very good with friendly helpful staff. Although there is no in house restaurant there is a multitude of restaurants surrounding Mantra Trilogy.

Great location on the Esplanade; very helpful Front Desk staff; well appointed rooms which are only serviced for stays of more than 8 days which was is acceptable [regular servicing available for a fee].
More of an Apartment building than hotel - this suited us fine. The pool area was in the shade for stay [late July] but the Esplanade lagoon is opposite. Would stay here again.

Absolutely superb location for us. Everything within walking distance, supermarket across the road, Esplanade Lagoon right in front, 3 minutes walking distance to the Reef Fleet Terminal where the Great Barrier Reef tours depart, 3 minutes walking distance to the pier restaurants, harbour, etc. Great service. Will definitely stay again if we ever return to Cairns.

we were in Cairns for 5 days for Xmas holiday, the hotel is very nice, get a ocean view room, face to the sea and enjoy the nice breeze. the hotel staff are really friendly, and room services is quick and price is reasonable. have hotel bus to the central city every hour, if you walk, will take 30 mins to the city, but we enjoyed the quiet location.

We booked an oceanfront room and ended up on the 5th floor (532) with great views onto the bay. The room was comfortable enough that we caught ourselves hanging out in there a little too long when we should've been out on the verandah or strolling around town or on the esplanade. However our last night the toilet kept running so you had to unstick the mechanism and the following a.m. we had an early flight ,got up to take hot shower and there was none. Don't know what was going on with that because we had no problems the previous day. If we ever have occasion to go back I would definately stay here though.

The resort overall was lovely and would be highly recomended, only difficulty was there were no elevators or assistance for elderly or unfit people in which to carry up and down their luggage, also with carry food shopping.

The room was excellent and the spa bath a perfect inclusion. (Watching tv from the midst of bubbles is a new level of luxury!) However, the bed was horrendous - I had the worst night's sleep in months. It has a soft added 'mattress' on top of the mattress which makes the bed overly soft. Most unpleasant especially if you have any back problems.

The Pullman Reef Hotel is a great value. Lovely, large room with all the amenities (A/C, robe, hair dryer, iron, quality bath products, spa tub in addition to a shower). The king bed and pillows were oh so comfortable. Best of all, the room was really quiet.
Three powerful Macs, free for guest use--no special codes and a printer for your boarding passes. The staff was unfailingly polite and helpful.
Super location: a three-minute walk from the Reef Terminal and two to three blocks from excellent restaurants for dinner and cafes for breakfast and lunch. The Casino is attached, if you want to gamble, but has a separate entrance.

The hotel was centrally located and only a short walk to the Night Markets,Restaurants and shopping.I stayed using the Business Package. It included free WiFi Internet.The internet connection was disappointing and very slow.I relied on the internet to conduct research but often had to go to an internet cafe.The staff were friendly and attentive. There were few parking spaces directly relating to the hotel and vehicles had to be parked on the street.Street parking had a mix of time limited and all day parking.

订的是豪华房，但是一点也不豪华，就房间稍微大了一点点。床甚至还是两张单人床拼成的一张King Size。电视机还不是对着床，根本看不了！地理位置非常好，去商场饭店赌场甚至码头都只需步行几分钟！【房间到处都是小虫子（小蚂蚁）】这点实在太恶心了，特别是厕所！！！就连床上也能发现几只。

Great location, a block away from some key places (Reef Fleet terminal, Esplanade, lagoon, Woolworth's grocery store). Restaurants and shopping literally on the same block (Perotta's at the Gallery on Shield's/Abbott St is good, although a bit pricey), and more within a few more blocks. There's a tourism desk in the lobby (with brochures), and they'll make reservations for tourist attractions (no additional fee). 10-15min drive from airport. It's almost the same cost to take taxi if >2ppl; shuttle is a only couple of dollars less, and also makes stops along the way, etc. There's a nice pool too, room is quite large, and even has a small balcony (ours overlooked the hills, a parking lot, and the ocean). Overall, pretty satisfied with our stay.

First trip to Australia. Had a great time on the beach. Very relaxing and beautiful views. People very friendly. Rooms were large and within walking distance to stores and restaurants. Take the bus to Cairns for $4.80 if you want good shopping.

Located with absolute beach frontage, the units are of an older style but kept in good condition and located close to all facilities shops restaurants etc. The resort includes a well maintained swimming pool, barbeque area and tennis court. The couple that manage the units couldnt be more friendly or helpful. The room rates are also very competitive.
