Visiting the Down Under
Fantastic stay from an unexpected layover
I'm in Australia on holiday for most of November 2012. All of my hotel and flight arrangements were made earlier in the year. I had booked a flight from Port Douglas to Sydney mid-month when the airline contacted me days before to inform me that I have a two-day flight delay. I scrambled to find a place to stay that was close to Cairns Airport when I found the hotel on the website. It received great reviews and I really needed something good to come out of my unfortunate layover so I booked the room. Mission accomplished! The staff was beyond friendly, providing me with maps about town and even giving me some suggestions on places to visit. The room was really nice (it felt like an executive suite) and had an amazing view of the beach. I was simply in awe. I would definitely recommend and book another stay.

Nice staff, good services
we were in Cairns for 5 days for Xmas holiday, the hotel is very nice, get a ocean view room, face to the sea and enjoy the nice breeze. the hotel staff are really friendly, and room services is quick and price is reasonable. have hotel bus to the central city every hour, if you walk, will take 30 mins to the city, but we enjoyed the quiet location.

Stay Some Place Else
Worse hotel I have stayed at during my travels. Had to wait an additional hour for my room, they lost my luggage in the hotel while they were making me wait. They have basic television and the room service was not good. I had to call to complain about the fact that there was no hot water. Don't bother staying here- save your money and go some place else.

Good clean hotel, limited room
Good clean hotel, limited room service menu. Could do with an update, but otherwise good, and nice 20 minute walk into town via the foreshore walking path. The free shuttle bus inot town was also great!

Hotel is good but it does take
Hotel is good but it does take half an hour to walk to town. When booking this hotel online there were two prices for the room with a brief abbrieveated discription for the second price which appeared to suggest it included breakfast.....it does not!
