Excellent central location for tourist

The location was central to everything ocean, lagoon, Cairns central, restaurants and shopping all within easy walking distance. The undercover security parking and direct lift to our room on the 6th floor was great as was the views of the city and surrounding mountain range. The room cleaning staff were very helpful every day of our stay. We did have an extra visitor stay with us for 3 nights and it was easily booked at the reception desk. There was a very nice young lady in the foyer area who provided a number of brochures and information on trips and tourist sites to see while in Cairns and we were occupied each day visiting just a few of the many attractions. The new years eve festivities were spectacular. It was a fantastic holiday and we were grateful that the beds were comfortable and that the air-conditioning worked under very humid outdoor conditions. If you have any future cut price offers on trips or accommodation send them through as you can’t beat value for money.

what to say this hotel has every thing all the comforts -free internet and all the rain forest plants the landscaping and the decore is great for the amount of pricing it has --good luck novotel we will be back

As a positive, the level of service and attention we experienced from all the staff was extremely high. That include some of the trades people that were working on the same floor level at the time of our stay. From a constructive critism I would like to add the follwing : A cleaning staff entered the room one afternoon (approx 2pm) to clean the room but she did not knock on the door or announce herself before entering . Whilst she was very well mannered , I do not beleive this was acceptable. There were several small insects constantly on the counter above the bar fridge (nowhere else ) that were getting into drink cups etc . I have never experienced these before in Queensland . I don't know what they were but they appeared to be some sort of mite. The bed was the worst I have ever slept on with the matress being far to soft . While I weigh approx 100Kg I could not sleep near the edge of the bed without having the feeling I was going to role off the bed.

We were pleased with our stay at the hotel and the efficient service of the staff - nothing was too much trouble, esp as moi had rebooked us in on the wrong day for the following week (we had 2 separate bookings over 2 weeks) - thanks again.

My 4 night stay at Novotel Cairns Oasis was fantastic and commendable. It was close to the city centre, equipped with new and well maintained facilities, provided good customer service, room was spacious and clean. Very worthwhile!

The hotel is about ten meters from trees full of bats. These are large bats with wingspans of almost a meter. There are hundreds of these bats and they are very noisy, especially when returning to the trees, right by the hotel, early in the morning before sunrise.

The staff at Novotel are second to none and could not have been more helpful. Our stay there was great and made even better by the friendliness of all their staff from management down to cleaners. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast was awesome too.
