Location, Location!!

I had read the differing reviews on this hotel, but overall I found it difficult to fault. It has one big thing going for it and that is it's location. Right across the road from the beach with spectacular views it is well worth opting for a beachfront room. I suppose for the price paid it was never going to be 5 star luxury but if you are on a budget then this place would be difficult to beat. It provided good value for money. If I had a criticism it would be on arriving late (after 9 pm) reception was closed and it entail gaining access to the hotel via a intercom arrangement which did prove to be a little troublesome and took 3 attempts to gain entry. Then on entering the hotel there was no one around to greet me and the whole thing was somewhat confusing. I had to use the intercom again to find out the procedure for obtaining my keys to the room which were secured in a safe which the access code was given to me. All very unusual and not very welcoming. It was "Schoolies" week and the whole resort was madness but generally the hotel which had endured an invasion of revelling youngsters only a few nights previously showed no adverse signs!! I was told however by a fellow guest that the hotel had been very noisy during this time and this can be borne out by the general noise on the streets right through the night. So in this respect a bit of a drawback when it comes to being so close to the main beachfront.

Decent lodging

We had an okay time at this apartment. We especially appreciated it's close proximity to the beach. The staff were a bit reserved, and not always knowledgeable, but we had a good time anyway.

good but noisy

The hotel was clean the staff were nice, but the noise from outside with cars revving and people yelling to the very early hours of the morning was really bad if you want a good night sleep dont stay there or at least not on the lower floors. Also for the money I paid I could of got something else where your room is cleaned and your bed made every-day.
