With great views, delicious food, friendly staff and rainforest guides, you are sure to enjoy at the O'Reilly's Rainforest Guesthouse. The property is located in the Lamington National Park, 2 hours by car from south of Brisbane and 1.5 hours from west of the Gold Coast. The guesthouse is 3000 feet above sea level and enjoys cool mountain air and spectacular views. The guesthouse features spacious rooms ranging from the luxurious Canopy Suites, through the most popular Mountain View Rooms, to the simple yet comfortable Garden View.

This is an absolutely beautiful

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room was very nice with a stunning view over the mountains. Service was very accommodating and friendly. There are some lovely bush walks. The most beautiful birds visited us on our balcony.

Felt the Staff could have been

Felt the Staff could have been more friendly and helpful. We had a rodent in our room, which when we reported it to reception we were told it was a small marsupial, we were expecting that comment because we were in a national park.....still didn't like sharing our snacks with any animal... $200.00 for a basis room no meals included.

Definitely worthwhile staying

Definitely worthwhile staying there even though it was fairly pricey.Staff mostly appeared to be backpackers and weren't very professional. One poor lady on the front desk appeared to be doing everything.(very well).

This is a well appointed accommodation

This is a well appointed accommodation facility situated in a stunning environment. The drive to reach this setting is taxing but worthwhile. Staff are extremely friendly and approachable. There are myriad points of interest, including the rainforest canopy walk and wonderful bird life. A fabulous place to visit.

Cabins are a bit dated, but clean.

Cabins are a bit dated, but clean. Food in the restaurant was very expensive, but ok in the cafe. The stay included several walks which were very good - the rangers were very knowledgable and keen about their subject. Only downside - paid $30 each for a glowworm tour which was very poor value for money. In contrast, $6 each for the wildlife show which was really interesting. Comparing the glowworm tour (1 hour) to a day at the Australia zoo for $55 illustrates the poor value.

Restaurant was over priced & was

Restaurant was over priced & was the only one available. The cafe on the deck with the best view closed at 4pm! Would be better to give people a choice of 2 places to eat - especially if you have young children. A ritzy looking overpriced restaurant isn't suitable for young children but you still need to eat. Accomodation was adequate but overpriced.
