This was an excellent hotel and
This was an excellent hotel and would definitely stay here again if we ever visited Port Douglas again. We had interconnecting rooms and the rooms were very comfortable. spacious and clean We arrived late on our first night and ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. There is a good selection of food for breakfast. The hotel has a great salt water pool and very comfortable sun loungers. The reception staff were very friendly and organised trips to Barrier Reef and Rain Forest.

Mercure treetops resort and spa took my breath away. The food was fantastic. I love the setting, the way the dining area was built amongst the trees looking out to the beautiful pool. so romantic and peaceful. Fantastic and friendly service. Thank you so much and we cant wait to come again. I recommend this resort to everybody.

Location is 4km from main township,
Location is 4km from main township, a nice (45min) walk along the beach. Shuttle also available for $4 ea way. Short walk to beach from hotel. Room was fine, nothing special - our room had a fairly unattractive outlook over a tin roof but the palms screened it somewhat. Pool and surrounds are v nice. Food was pretty bad - would not recommend eating here. Had one awful meal, let staff know it was not up to par, they were interested but didn't offer any token of apology. Would recommend going to v good restaurants in town instead. Nice spa treatment (facial good, nice Ahava products). Charged 1.5% surcharge for credit card use, which seems grasping to me but also seems to be increasingly common practice in Australia.

I can´t recommend this hotel and
I can´t recommend this hotel and I will never go back there. Most rooms have no balcony and that is a must for me in tropical QLD. Annoying was that you can hear every door closing near your room. Especially on the weekend you can hardly relax.
