Pleasant surroundings, very clean, the only fault is that there is not enough milk in the fridge for coffees,only 3 or 4 of those useless half full thimbles. you do get more at the reception if you ask for them though.all in all lovely stay.

The staff were all extremely helpful,
The staff were all extremely helpful, we were upgraded due to wheelchair for mother and placed very close to smoking area as we had requested a smoking room but they don't do smoking rooms. the room was spacious and clean but don't leave a crumb lying around or ants arrive. The grounds were well laid out and very nice saw a goanna and frogs but the mossies are big.

Overall, happy with facility however
Overall, happy with facility however annoyed that i was woken at 9am by house-keeping when check out was at 10am.

Quiet location, short walk to
Quiet location, short walk to the Strand. Good restaurant. Value for money. Have now been there a number of times and have never been diaspointed.

Good value for the money
Seagulls is a comfortable, clean accommodation. I was provided a room with two beds (one queen, one twin) and refrigerator. The bathroom appeared to have been recently renvoated. The restaurant had friendly service and the food was acceptable. The location is about a ten to fifteen minute walk to the Strand (along the beach) where there are a number of restaurants. I missed having a gym or fitness room and found that one of the desk clerk's was quite uninformed and and unhelpful--she did not have information that the binder in the room indicated she could help with and didn't expend any effort in trying to address the issue. But the other clerks were pleasant and I would consider returninig.

Good Place
The hotel and staff were great, the only drawback was that the wireless internet service was only accessable from the pool area not the room. Since I was there for business this was a bummer. The food was very good and the grounds were beutiful. If I am in Townsville again I will stay there for sure.
