BreakFree Adelaide

Not new appartments but well maintained. Has everything you need. Walking distance to shops and restaurants a bit far and having to walk pass nightclubs made us uneasy. Bus stop right outside the door though.

Breakfree on Hindley Adelaide was excellent with full kitchen & refrigerator, very modern with nice lounge & flat screen TV. The bed was very comfotable,which is often the most important part of any accommodation.

We found this place on our 10 week trip around Australia. The hotel is centrally located. It felt a bit on the old side, however, as a base for sightseeing around the town and day trips it was well suited. The kitchen area is on the small side for a family and there is no exhaust fan in the shower.

First night we stayed one of the men on the reception desk was quite rude. We called him Grumpy after that. He could not cope with the influx of people at one time. We came back for 4 nts later and the staff were excellent. First room was a little cramped (2 Bed for 4 of us) but the second stay was a studio which was excellent. Plenty of room for 2 people. Good location for most things you would want to do. Restaurants, shops and bus outside, and walking distance to Markets.

It is possible to walk up Hindley Street to the Rundle Mall but catching the free bus outside the apartments saves the legs. Unfortunately there are several nightclubs near to the Hotel which meant that the noise as people left them in the early hours of the morning woke us up, as did the garbage truck. We did not get our room serviced on the last day whilst we were on a bus tour from 9am - 5.30pm as an unknown person put a Do Not Disturb sign on our door. The reception staff were very friendly and we were able to leave our bags for a few hours after checkout.

Slightly seedy location but not noisy. Simple but clean rooms, good internet access. Indian restaurant - not so great if you don't like Indian food. Taxi ordered at 0810 hadn't arrived by 0848

A bit of a walk to the city. Clean ,Tidy and reasonably priced.

New to Adelaide I was unaware that the Hotel was located at one end of the Disco, Pub and Strip Joint area. The window in our front bedroom could be closed so that very little sound came in but it was not air conditioned and became unbearably hot during the night. It was not possible to eliminate all of the noise in the second bedroom. The deep base sounds of the disco's went onto 4am on the Saturday morning and 5.15am on the Sunday morning. The amenities in the room were fine but if you want any sleep at all do not go there, at least not on a Friday or Saturday night.
