Our stay at the Mercure was ok.
Our stay at the Mercure was ok. The hotel was unable to accommodate an early check in (at 12pm rather than 2pm) despite having rung them earlier in the week to advise them of our early arrival and we had to wait around for an hour for them to clean the room and then they were late in getting it ready. The central airconditioning was also not working while we stayed there and despite having an in room air conditioner, it also did not produce any cool air. It was refreshing to get outside and get some cool air despite it being in summer. The hotel felt very stuffy. Given the high price we paid for the room ($189 for one night), I would try elsewhere in Launceston if we visited again.

Don't have aircon, and the window
Don't have aircon, and the window doesn't have flyscreen, so have to close window and use a fan.

No air conditioning units in rooms is not acceptable. Most rooms did not have air conditioning.

Very central location. Bathroom
Very central location. Bathroom needed a bit of updating although clean. There wasn't any air-conditioning, but this shouldn't matter unless it's hot. FYI, you'll need to pay for parking which was $4 per night.

Ideal city location enables easy
Ideal city location enables easy access to any venue. Lovely rooms and beaut reasturant. Only issue was no guarantee of a secure parking spot.

Many stains on carpets, one wall
Many stains on carpets, one wall had holes repaired but not repainted. Clothes line boken. Fridge door squeaked really loudly.
