Luxury hotel near shopping in downtown Melbourne
The Novotel Melbourne on Collins is located right in the heart of downtown Melbourne. The property has direct access to Australia on Collins, an outlet mall with some of Australia's most popular brands. Deep blues characterize accommodations at the hotel, and most rooms offer city views. There's also a state-of-the-art fitness center on site, and a currency exchange. Situated in the heart of Melbourne & couldn't have wished for better. The staff were extremely friendly. Ask any Reception staff or the Concierge & they could direct you without any confusion. Service was quick too. The only downfall was it is a little expensive if you don't get a deal or have hotelclub dollars to spend but then again you pay for what you get. Would definitely recommend.

Great location, good sized rooms, friendly staff. Manager of restaurant/bar speaks really loudly and condescending to staff! Toilet for people with a disability in bar area has a HUGE changing table in it which defeats the purpose of having such a convenience! Very difficult to access.

Located in the heart of Melbourne the Novotel is the perfect hotel to indulge in a bit of shopping or sightseeing. The facilities are all up to a high standard and staff polite & friendly. An added bonus is the ability to order a coffee,hot chocolate or pot of tea at breakfast (brought to the table) in lieu of having to carry back cups of beverages to your table.

Excellent location. We wnated
Excellent location. We wnated to be in the city and were not disappointed with the location. Valet parking was a little slow on checkout because of the number of people checking out on Sunday morning. The room was one of the newly renovated rooms - a little smaller than the older rooms but no drawer space at all. OK for a businessman on an overnight stay but not good for a couple staying a number of nights. We essentially had to live ot of the suitcase. Service was excellent. Would stay there again but will be more selective in the room booking.

Nice enough and clean hotel though
Nice enough and clean hotel though didn't blow my socks off. Great location, good breakfast. Disappointing that internet was not included given the price of the hotel. TV was small (not even wide screen) and no little luxuries such as a robe. So nice, but not great value for the price.
