Room was nice, however plates,
Room was nice, however plates, glasses in kitchenette are situated in cupboard well beyond reach of a normal person. Suggest that these these items be stored within reach. Dishes were left to wash in dish washer and were still dirty after wash.

Location good. Room clean, but
Location good. Room clean, but we had problems with the toilet flush sticking and the seat coming away from the base. We did report this to housekeeping. Concierge excellent with helping us with our online flight checkin. Front desk staff only had knowledge of transport options within the city area.

I thought Oaks was a fab hotel
I thought Oaks was a fab hotel - great location being only a 5 minute walk to Crown and Southbank, and a 10 minute walk to the shops! Our room was nice, but we stayed in a Studio room and compared to the photos I saw it was a bit deceiving about the size. The bathroom was the only letdown as it was very small, and didn't have an exhaust fan so as we would open the door of it (big frosted glass sliding door and frosted glass was all that seperated the bathroom from the bedroom) we would set off the smoke alarm! The kitchen had everything that you would need if you chose to be cooking - we didn't because just a short walk from anywhere to get food! Also the other downside was the angle the tv is put on - impossible to watch whilst lying in bed! All in all I would be happy to stay there again for the price!

Missing remotes and other items
Missing remotes and other items had to call several times to have these items sent up, in the end had I to go downstairs to the front desk and request these items. My room was accessed twice, even though there was a do not disturb sign on the door. Had to explain several times that I had already paid through [this website], before I was allowed to check out. The

Great location- friendly and very
Great location- friendly and very helpful staff. I didn't have an iron in my room but it was provided when I asked for one.The alarm part of my clock didn't work. The carpet was starting to look a bit worn, but the place was cleaned very well. Internet access was $10 for 2 hours- wish I had included my laptop's battery as there is free wifi next door (at McDs). The bed was very comfortable and well made- no complaints.

We were very pleased with all
We were very pleased with all facilities at the Oaks. Very clean and kept that way during our stay. We found the location great with lots of other facilities close by eg. cafes, pharmacy, newsagent ,cabs etc. Carparking was made easy by staff. We are keen to stay again.

The room we were given was in
The room we were given was in the middle of the hotel with no exterior windows. Therefore no natural light & you had no idea of the passing of time, I would liken it to a pokies venue. The cleaning staf were lovely and helpful though.
