Situated in the heart of the city, opposite the Rialto Towers, Oaks On Collins is a fabulous apartment hotel comprising of superbly appointed, self contained New York style studios. 'First Floor Restaurant & Bar' provides guests with breakfast and dinner with gorgeous views over the leafy tree-lined Collins St. The hotel's relaxing lounge bar is also the perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink with friends! We recently stayed 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were wonderful- just so helpful and the facility everything we dared hope for. Would not hesitate to either stay again ourselves or recommend the facility to others

Great position, close to all M

Great position, close to all Melbourne's attractions. Hotel restaurant offers great lunch specials and happy hour with drinks priced from $3.00. McDonalds downstairs, so the whole family is catered for! Bathroom was a little on the small side, but would definitely stay again. Very convenient if arriving via Southern Cross railway station.

Great place for corporate stay.

Great place for corporate stay. Good location, modern, clean rooms. Not all have windows though so check first if this is a problem.

Great place to stay and conveniently

Great place to stay and conveniently located. The only minor gripe is the small bathroom and the room does not really get dark. The restaurant makes great evening meals but service is slow. The buffet breakfast is poor.

H in Hyatt does not stand for HELPFUL

Staff was pleasant, but clearly interested in picking my pocket as much as possible. Nice hotel, but you can get MUCH MORE next door at The Quadrant Hotel.

Next door to The Hyatt is The Quadrant. Value there is heads above the Hyatt and the staff is much nicer.

LOVELY! I did get a good deal

LOVELY! I did get a good deal price wise, otherwise I think the pricing is a bit expensive. A bit of a surprise to open the curtain and see the hallway... but otherwise nice and worth it's star rating

For us, it was sheer luxury and affordable because we used Rates To Go. The restaraunt pricing was comparable with other Melbourne pricing, although they had Happy Hour and early bird dinner specials. The young lady at the counter was delightful, especially seeing it was New Year's Eve and she had to work. It is an easy, convenient walk to the CBD too.

The hotel room was a good size

The hotel room was a good size and very clean and modern. The bathroom was quite small though, and the water from the shower tended to wet a lot of the bathroom through the shower curtain. The kitchen was handy, although a lot of the cupboards were too high to reach.

We had an enjoyable stay at Oaks

We had an enjoyable stay at Oaks On Collins Melbourne for Johns Birthday and our 40th Wedding anniversary. The room was beautiful and the location was great as it was easy to get to all of our functions.

After a bit of a false start where

After a bit of a false start where we were put in a room that was filthy, we were very happy with our stay. Staff were attentive and VERY apologetic about the room situation and it was seen to and changed promptly. It was only a minor inconvenience and certainly didnt affect our stay which was great!
