I was disappointed with the size
I was disappointed with the size of the room and the clientele in the rooms nearby who were very loud, foul mouthed and drinking too much. The television was a very small screen and mounted far to high. I would not stay there again as it certaintly wasn't value for money. Also the carpet is very worn on the stairs and the material on the chairs in the room dirty and stained.

Great location but make sure you
Great location but make sure you know that some studios are set in and do not have much natural light. We felt claustrophobic and had to upgrade to Exec. Studio. The bed in the first studio was dreadful - as it had collapsed in the middle. The exec. studio bed was great. Carpet in both were badly stained and the upgraded studio had a poor cleaner. Did not vac nor disinfect toilet and kept on forgetting to replace tea, dishwasher powder, etc. Had to ask for iron in first studio and then again on upgrade but it never appeared. Cleaning Manager visited and I advised of the above but she did not get me the products so where does that leave the employee cleaner.

nice place, convenient location,
nice place, convenient location, tram and taxi rank right out the front. Hotel rooms are small but self contained. Mine had a window looking out into the foyer - a bit weird.. staying with no natural light. But nonethe less I would stay there again, esp. cause the price is good for a weeks stay.

Room was a good size , bed was very comfy , T.V. was very small ,bar downstairs was handy ,parking was confusing and very tight ,public transport very close ,overall very good -would stay again.

I enjoyed my stay at The Oaks
I enjoyed my stay at The Oaks on Collins. I felt that I was the only one there at times, as it I felt removed from the hotel as such. Never mind it was good service and the hotel is centrally close for my needs at the time.
