Neat, tidy, comfy bed. Trams close by, facilities to cook meals. Great price. The rooms are compact but for the price we paid it was value for money-look for deals.

I enjoyed my stay at the Oaks
I enjoyed my stay at the Oaks on Collins. I did not realize when I booked the room that I would not have a window and a view. I would have happily paid more for a window had I realized. The bathroom badly needed a shower curtain.

Beautiful room, amazing view.
Beautiful room, amazing view. Friendly service. We did find it odd that there was absolutely nothing in the fridge in terms of a basic complimentary food or drink, nor even a simple "mini-bar" style offering for post-payment. Yes, it was a self sufficient apartment, but some basics would have made the experience much more pleasurable and easier than having to go to the 7-Eleven up the road upon arrival from the airport. That aside, for a 2 night stay it was more than perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I booked a twin
My daughter and I booked a twin room, but didn't realise that all the twin rooms have no natural light and look out onto a corridor/hallway. This is a disadvantage of booking online. There is no way of knowing you will be in a cave. We were offered an upgrade to a queen room at an extra cost of AU$50 per night which we turned down. Apart from this we were happy with the room.

Received free upgrade from exec. room to kitchenette room. Nice room especially for the price and location. No complaints at all. We would stay there again!
