Designed to appeal to business and leisure travellers alike, Oaks on Market is the perfect location to experience all of Melbourne's major facilities and attractions.
Market Street is ideally located and convenient for all types of travel. Trams stops to the right, the left and straight ahead as you exit the hotel. Oaks on Market is within easy access to all that the city is famous for: shopping, theatres, food and wine, while being close to the legal and financial precincts.
Oaks on Market offers guests 280 luxuriously appointed studios, 1 and 2 bedroom fully self contained apartments. Guests can indulge in extra luxuries like rooms with stunning Yarra views, individual stereo systems, climate control, an indoor heated lap pool, fully equipped gymnasium, spa and sauna. The 3 state of the art conference rooms and al-fresco courtyard can cater for events of up to 250 people.
A choice of two licensed restaurants, Alexi's on Market and R2 Restaurant & Bar, provide delicious dining options for hotel clients and the general public.
Alexi's Restaurant is located on ground level adjacent to the Reception, seats up to 80 patrons and has a private section known as the 'Chef's Table' which seats up to 8 patrons, ideal for private entertaining.
Upon arrival at your selected property a Credit Card pre-authorisation will be required and will be used to cover incidental items including (but not limited to): mini bar, telephone calls, breakages/damages, excessive cleaning charges above the normal level of cleaning due to the apartment being left in an unacceptable state, etc. Cash is not an acceptable form of bond when staying with Oaks Hotels & Resorts and a valid credit card must be presented upon arrival. Good Location but not good value at all !!
The AC was not working. After asking repeatedly still it did not get fixed. At night when we requested repeatedly finally someone came and did give us a new room but still the AC was not working. Also the noise from the lift was very annoying.

Good location - walking distance
Good location - walking distance to most of the city or there's trans close by. Staff were friendly & helpful. Nice size clean rooms, comfortable beds & no city noise at all. Would have no hesitation staying there again.

wonderful resort. 2nd time stay
wonderful resort. 2nd time stay and will again. great value booking through hotel club. booked in may for july stay and only disappointment was we (2 couples) were booked on 2 different floors 18th and 20th BUT we asked to be put on the same floor and the great staff accomodated us with our request. thanks to the team at oaks.

I have stayed a lot of Melbourne
I have stayed a lot of Melbourne City hotels for business and would rate this one highly for its central location, good design, stylish decor and the fact that it has a kitchenette (solo travellers like to eat in!). There is also a bar and restaurant if needed. You don't get any fabulous views but you do get a good night's sleep because it is quiet (in Rm 303 anyway). Bathroom is spacious and functional - paint work could be freshened up but this does not detract as everything else is fine.

Stayed for 3 nights. Very good facilities, included a heated indoor swimming pool / spa / suana and a gym which opened untill late. Very central location. Room service was a bit too inconsistent as the cleaner came in once at 4pm (late) and once before 10am (early).
