Good value, good location
Old hotel - still in pretty good shape. Room comfortable. Kitchenette in room - microwave, sink, refrigerator (plenty of room after mini-bar supplies), dishes and silverware.

Hotel located in chinatown (area of only a couple blocks on edge of CBD). Lots of really good Chinese and Japanese restaurants next door, across the street, etc.

Although this hotel was situated
Although this hotel was situated in an excellent position and the room itself was very well presented, the bathroom was disgusting. For a (supposed) 5 star hotel, i was disgusted. And to be paying over $500 for this, it was unacceptable. The toilet was also blocking all the time. I was also told that i could recieve valet parking for $10 per car. Only to find that i was charged $27 per car, and i was left waiting for 45 minutes for my car to be brought to me. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will be advising everyone on my experience.

We asked for pillows and were
We asked for pillows and were told 20 minutes but we had to ring back after waiting much longer than that. Also the hot water tap on the shower had to run for ages before any warm water came out - not good in a state conserving water!

The rooms were small but had everything
The rooms were small but had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bath/shower had a few cracks in it which looked dirty, however the shower itself worked like a treat and was fabulous. For a one night stay it was perfect. We did not use the restaurant so I can't comment on that. For anything longer than a one night stay I would want a bit more room.

Great location for anyone wanting
Great location for anyone wanting to go to the theatres and interested in dining in China Town. Right in the hub of it all. Very comfortable rooms, excellent place to stay

good location- near the theatre
good location- near the theatre area of Melbourne- easy walking distance to all locations- one of the lifts was a bit rough and did not always line up with the floor. Room size was good and always cleaned promptly
