When booked a continental breakfast

When booked a continental breakfast was included. On arrival we found the resturant was closed and breakfast was a tray of prepackaged food. Not great at that. THe fruit (apples) were bruised an unedible. The staff at reception did kindly swap these for us. Cereal choice - there was none. Muffins were ordinary. Was looking forward to a nice breakfast in the resturant.

This was my first visit to Perth and have no regret staying at Kings Perth Hotel. The hotel look nice and clean too. Rooms are spacious. Location is good as its easy access to public transport, very near to bus stand, restaurants, convenience stores, shops and there is a travel agency nearby to hotel too.

Free wi-fi was great and should be in every Australian hotel. Pity there was no Pay TV particularly the sport and speed channels. Very handy to the Blue Cat free bus which gets you to and from the centre of Perth.
Would definitely consider staying there again.

the hotel is under renovation

the hotel is under renovation so it is very noisy with drilling during the day. It was very disturbing and could not have phone conversaton as I worked from my room during the day in between meetings.
This should have been disclosed to customers so that an informative decision can be made whether they are prepared to put up with the nosie before booking. Also the room price should have been adjusted for the inconvience caused by the construction to customers.

We stayed at the Duxton 27/12/10 and could not fault the hotel. We rebooked this hotel after staying there at the same time last year.. The service is fantastic the club rooms are very clean and spacious and the facilities of canapes and pre dinner drinks in the evening and breakfast are excellent as are the views of the swan river from the lounge.. Definately recommend this hotel. Car parking is $35 per day

The Duxton lived up to its reputation of being a high class hotel but also being on a good price level for what you get. The service from the staff was immaculate and it is the first time I have heard staff address me as "sir" within Australia. It is good to see that traditions are upheld for good service and standards.
The room was spacious with a great bed that wasn't too soft nor too hard and with a great bathroom with a huge shower it was a delight to stay overnight with my fiancee. We had a great time and can encourage everybody to give it a try even if it is not the cheapest price, we will certainly be back again at another time.

Small room but relative nice. found a few roaches in the room due to the extreme heat of perth. Realised afterwards that there was no phone -strange but not an issue!
Interesting to note that this place has apartments, motels and a hostel that are all joined so watch out if you get back backpackers.
Having said that, we found location to be great, people really friendly, pool soothing and room relative good. would stay there again.

we had a great room a lot bigger than last time. Not having access to car parking at the hotel was inconvient. We had to pay $30 in a public car park for 21 hours. expensive!!
The room was clean and had everything we could want.
We will be back next time we stay in the city.

Very central location. Mall, train station, river close by. Several cafes next door/across road (Asian cuisine) open late when city shuts. Supermarket/Liquor shop in mall.
2bedroom 1bathroom apartment was excellent for family . We were on 2nd floor. Some late night noise from hotel bar - not enough to annoy. Great to have pool in inner city hotel. Small balcony to access fresh air.
Room new so fixtures/fittings fresh/modern/clean. Very Good now - may deteriorate over time as not meticulous in cleaning (dust in corners).
Really appreciated mini bar/room service as not many apartments offer. No room service weekend lunch/dinner.
MAKE SURE TO BOOK PARKING when you make your reservation - limited car parking on site. Car park FULL. Parked offsite - Wilsons (Cnr Wellington & Pier) $10 overnight weekend rate(closed midnight till 10am Sunday). Parking during the week, minimum $40 overnight.
Overall extremely happy - family apartment - centre of town.

For the size of the room, location, view, free extras, dining facilities and food, I've stayed at comparable accomodations at a third of the cost before discount. For it's discounted price it was very good, clean, safe and inviting.

I stay at this hotel frequently it is in a good location in the heart of the city transport around is very good taxis free bus service right at the front door.
The food is very nice but on the high price end they have an excellent breakfast the staff are very helpfull and polite.
The rooms a comfortable in general it is one of the best places for the money to stay in perth
As long as they don't put the prices up anymore but Perth in general the prices of everything are getting rediculas.
However if you want a good comfortable and convenient place to stay you can't beat it.

Check-in service was friendly. TV romote didn't work so we were upgraded to another room without any fuss. Very warm in elevator and in passages between adjoining rooms. This was our second visit to the Sebel and we will stay there again.

We found Citigate Perth to be a good hotel for price. It was close to all sightseeing, within walking distance to the city and the food was excellent. Breakfast was good and rooms were clean, though I think the girl cleaning our room could have been more astute. She left some things undone. Walls are quite thin, though we didn't have any problem with our room. Room 210 is a great room with a separate lounge area to the bedroom. It is also on the quiet side of the hotel. Window looks out into a courtyard. Staff were excellent in attending to our needs.

Convenient location, excellent breakfast. Sound insulation not brilliant. Reception were pretty clueless on arrival - keen to tell me about the bar opening times the next day- which were after when I was supposed to have checked out- and insisting that check ot time was 11 am despite me having booked a package with a late checkout of 1pm.

We stayed one night after a function nearby, would"ve liked to have stayed longer. We were pleasantly surprised to have a large room with a spa bath. Breakfast in the dining downstairs was lovely and at $18 was reasonable for a fully cooked meal plus tea coffee and juice. The only complaint was not the hotels fault but we heard two large cranes begin work outside at 7am on Sunday morning.Would stay there again.

Good location with prices a little

Good location with prices a little better than typical. Hotel is older, but in decent repair, and the rooms are not large but reasonably sized. My room was a bit dated, but OK; while the bathroom had had a recent makeover: so they are keeping things up. Restaurant downstairs has an excellent deal on early dinner on Saturday and Sunday, and is a real party place on Friday night.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here, the staff were friendly and helpful from the front desk to the cleaners. Only small minuses were the limited menu in the restaurant but we didn't stay here for the food and the compact bathroom but it served its purpose.

A boutique style hotel with some very nice touches. Provided you get a good room, it can be a delightful place. The breakfast is included in the price and makes it very good value. The staff are also very attentive.

Very chic and classic hotel. Very interesting lift. Very near shopping malls and a number of reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance. Can do better on the sound proofing in room though. Also, can be tricky if you drive as there is no in-house carpark, but opposite a multi-storey carpark. A good spread of breakfast and it's delicious! Will definitely consider Miss Maud again if I return to Perth.
