We really enjoyed our stay at

We really enjoyed our stay at Citigate. The staff were friendly and their service was excellent. We thought the location was excellent, very close to shopping in the CBD and Harbour Town, lots of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from and close to all public transport. Great value for money. The only drawback is that there is no views from your room but the good far outways the bad. I would highly recommend the Citigate Perth.

Major renovations for the rest of 2012 - DO NOT STAY HERE until 1/1/13 at earliest

The hotel is undergoing serious renovation, involving jackhammers and heavy equipment between 730 AM and they say 5 but closer to 7 PM. My business involved late night, but no chance sleeping in. The fitness center also is closed. Also, I had no control over room temperature - there was a thermostat but it didn't do anything - so I froze There was no notice on online about this when I booked; it is possible that construction started after I booked.

Clean, quiet and an ideal location

Clean, quiet and an ideal location for a visit to Perth. Doesn't look much from the outside but the interior and rooms are stylish and comfortable. Within walking distance of all the amenities and hot spots in Perth. The roof top pool, gym and sun terrace were an great escape from the heat.

Probably the worse service I have

Probably the worse service I have ever received. Asked for wake up call 3 times and it never came. Room had stains on carpet and hair clips and tissues from previous guests. Shower door was broken and when reported that night got a letter pushed under the door at 3 am to say it could not be fixed. I would have to say this is the very worst level of service I have ever received from a hotel chain. Have stayed with Mirvac before in Palm Cove and service was excellent, so clearly it is this hotel.

We found Citigate Perth to be

We found Citigate Perth to be a good hotel for price. It was close to all sightseeing, within walking distance to the city and the food was excellent. Breakfast was good and rooms were clean, though I think the girl cleaning our room could have been more astute. She left some things undone. Walls are quite thin, though we didn't have any problem with our room. Room 210 is a great room with a separate lounge area to the bedroom. It is also on the quiet side of the hotel. Window looks out into a courtyard. Staff were excellent in attending to our needs.

Convenient location, excellent

Convenient location, excellent breakfast. Sound insulation not brilliant. Reception were pretty clueless on arrival - keen to tell me about the bar opening times the next day- which were after when I was supposed to have checked out- and insisting that check ot time was 11 am despite me having booked a package with a late checkout of 1pm.
