- The rooms are medium-sized and kept in good condition. There are two parts to the hotel - one part has modern rooms and the other more traditional rooms. The modern rooms are decorated in light pastels with white bathrooms. The traditional rooms have green carpets and walls with dark fixtures and fittings.

- This is located on the ground floor and is decorated in very bright pastels. Part of the restaurant is a winter garden with a glass atrium roof and the other part is a very traditional restaurant with cembra pine wood.

Excellent location- with great
Excellent location- with great views of the Alps and the Inn river. Right in the city centre and within walking distance of most sight seeing places of Innsbruck- easy access to public transport with buses and trams stopping right next to the hotel. The downside is, if you leave the windows open, there is quite a bit of noise in the night, with the traffic and drunk people shouting, and on closing windows, it was unbearably warm and stuffy. The staff- I wouldn't call them as very friendly, but they did their job. The breakfast was good. I would stay there again, as I had no major complaints

A great place to stay
I stayed here back in 1992 and was happy to see that this is still a great place to stay. If your room is street-side and you don't mind the noise in the morning(around 6am), then you'll probably have an outstanding view outside your window. For me, I can deal with a little street noise in exchange for the Austrian Alps when I wake up; after all, I'm not there to sleep, but to see all the sights. The breakfast spread is outstanding!

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you're a smoker, you'll be right at home with all the other people who have nothing better to do with their time than to walk the Old City area poisoning the non-smokers...this was just ridiculous! Smoking is not a right; it's a privilege, and it would be nice if the city banned smoking at all outdoor restaurants. The shopping for men is pitiful! The very few men's stores in the area offer very high priced, effeminate-looking clothing. Also, for food try the Goldener Adler in the Old City...a little steep, but very good food with excellent service.

Hotel Innsbruck
Decent hotel for the price, great location, fantastic breakfast. Bed was uncomfortable, deluxe room was nice but awkward layout. The city was beautiful.

An ideal situated hotel conveniently
An ideal situated hotel conveniently located in the old town and within walking distance from the train station. Room was comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Nice pool and sauna area. Free internet.
