- The Salzburger Hof. In the heart of Salzburg. It is just a 2-minutes walk from Salzburg Main Train Station. Mirabell Palace and Gardens can be reached in a 10-minute walk. Just another 5 minutes and you will reach the old town.

He and his team will tempt you with Austrian specialities such as "Schmankl", "GriessNockelsuppe", the typically Austrian Wiener Schnitzl, and succulent roast poark and dumplings. Save the best until last, the world famous desert "Salzburger Nockerl" that really does melt in the mouth!

Hotel was very nice and very convenient to bus/train station. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Buffet Breakfast was very tasty. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you.

Get the Salzburg Card - its great value and gets you free travel and into most attractions!! €22 for adult €11 for child - Details given at hotel Also go to Hotel Stein roof terrace bar for great city view. Enjoy!

Great Location - Freindly, Helpful Staff
The hotel is very convenient to the train station and the river. The rooms were clean, comfortable and ready when we arrived. The hotel is on a busier street but the noise level didn't seem to be an issue once you closed the windows. The hotel staff provided maps and recommendations and spoke excellent english. I would stay here again.

Very close to the train station
If traveling by train, this hotel is very good for getting there by foot with luggage. Good luggage lockers at the train station.It's a good walking distance to the old town but fairly flat. Best eating and sitting outside to drink and enjoy the scenery is in the very old part of town. Buffett breakfast was an excellent variety of foods and drinks. Ask for a quiet room off of the street and make sure the air works or windows can be opened without a lot of street and night noise. Our room was VERY noisy all night! (right off the street side)

Use the Rick Steves travel book (5 euro discount on tour)...go on the really great Sound of Music Tour your first or second day there to appreciate other parts of the city. If you don't have a car, it's a way to get out into the beautiful country.

Great Stay!
Was a wonderful experience. Within a 10 minute walk to the downtown area and local restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing! All you can eat traditional European breakfast (lunch meat, cheese, bread, cereal, eggs, etc.).

Nice hotel close to the railway
Nice hotel close to the railway station and quiet. Approximatel a 10 min walk to the old city along the river bank. Spacoius room, staff were very helpful, happy to recommend.

A good hotel conveniently located
A good hotel conveniently located near the main rail and bus stations. Excellent staff who were extremely helpful.Good facilities, quality breakfast and little noise despite it being on a main street leading to the station. I can recommend this hotel

Der Salzburger Hof
Our room in the annex was newly renovated, clean, and quiet. The desk clerk refused to give us a 2nd room card, making it complicated for one to go across the street to breakfast in the hotel. The bathtub/shower was a death trap, high and difficult to enter and exit. The hand hold was poorly placed. Don't risk this if you are not well co-ordinated. The breakfast buffet included in the price was excellent.

Great hotel not far from train
Great hotel not far from train station or the river. Rooms were nice & spacious & the breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
