Great hotel for the price, (not so good location)
The hotel & price were great, the only problem was the location. If you don't have problems with using the Bus then this is one of the best (or the best) options you have to pay something cheap and great.

small rooms, big breakfast
Nothing much to do around the hotel. Sauna was under renovation. So no facilty at all. Rooms were small. The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast which was relatively nicer.

Bizarre that you never see anyone
Bizarre that you never see anyone when you check in or out. The hotel presented no issues for us so maybe it doesn't matter....

Not close to anything but fairly
Not close to anything but fairly accessible. The room was dated but a super size. I am a bit annoyed by places advertising facilities but then they are out of order. Here the sauna didn't work. The staff werre very helpful at the desk.

Decent hotel, not the best decor
Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the hotel is in a very good location. Though the exterior is freshly painted, the interior, though in decent shape, has not been renovated in some time. Perhaps this fact is reflected in the good nightly rate. The mattresses were pretty uncomfortable, as were the pillows. The room had a nice foyer area though, which helped with mitigating suitcase clutter. The bathroom, though clean, showed signs of wear and tear -chips in the tile, here and there, caulking that needed updating etc...What the room lacked in appearance was made up for in the friendliness of the staff. They had a roll-a-bed ready in the room for our 4 year old son, and were helpful in getting the internet sorted. [...]. Be prepared to pay a per day parking fee, and a fee for internet (connectivity was a bit spotty). If you are on a budget, you could certainly do worse.

Nothing much to say. Expensive, all extra charged like breakfast and Internet, which today should be included in the room rate. Next time in Salzburg we will definitely choose another hotel and not from Raccor gropup.

Great stay!
The hotel was absolutely perfect and very restful. While it was a long walk from the town, it was very close to the train station which was perfect for an overnight trip.

Mercure Salzburg
Overall decent and clean, with very helpful staff. However the hotel is 15-20 minute walk from anything interesting, including the train station.
