Despite being on a corner and opposite the station the double glazing was very effective and we were amazed how quiet the (large) room was. Conveniently located for all transport links (Airport , City Centre and neighbouring Countries). Recommended.

Would not recommend.

This was a very bad choice of hotels. The location was terrible. It is on the cornor of a major express street, train stop and heavy traffic cornor where three strees meet with a stop sign. The noise factor was bothersome, especially if you had the window open. As it was the air conditioning was down for the nights we stayed and it was 80 degrees. The people who worked the front desk were complaining about the lack of help and the long hours. You had to take a taxi both ways to all the sites, 12Euros each way. And the final thing was that they refused to give a receipt when we checked out. This happened one other time when in europe several years ago and when additional non incurred charges were added, it was not possible to disprove them. This was a mistake and we felt duped by the recommendation and rating of this place.

nice but loud

The staff could not find our reservation, so check in took extra time. But the staff was helpful in adding another night to our stay. The location is on the tram line and very close to the U, but the new station construction began at 5 a.m. Needed to sleep with the window closed due to road noise. Breakfast was wonderful! Recommended if you are willing to trade price for location. Public transport is close by but necessary to get to any of Vienna's special sights.

Good and afordable hotel

Good and decent hotel. Room was small but with TV; bathroom was very nice though. Decent breakfast buffet included; food was ok, with different kinds of bread, ham and cheese, eggs. Nothing fancy but perfect to start the day. Hotel is far from the city center (probably about 30min walk) but the tram station is right across the street

AWESOME!!!

I did a great deal of research about hotels in Vienna and kept coming back to this one. The reviews were really mixed which concerned me. I can honestly say, that there was nothing about this hotel that wasn't perfect. It is directly across the street from the metro. It had a wonderful HOT continental breakfast with meats, cheeses, etc. The staff was incredible in helping us with recommendations for eating, sightseeing, etc., ANYTHING we needed, we were given. And, they had free internet services for guests. We visited four different countries on our trip and this was the best hotel we stayed in. The price was excellent as well. I can't wait to go back next year and stay at the Allegro again!

All the stores open late and close early. So, if you find something you like...buy it! Don't say, "I'll come back later"!!!

Hotel staffs and no supply were worst.

When we booked for non smoking room and after 3rd trial with harsh argument got non smoking room. Ask for direction or anything and very poor response. Out of 4 nights, 1 night we got soap. No toilet tissues and we have to use kleenex.

Good location, Good Price

We had a large family group of seven adults and stayed in one suite and one double room. Beds were all made and ready for us on arrival. Vienna is absolutely beautiful and classy, but prices of downtown hotels is high. This hotel was a good option, the first night there we got metro passes and learned to ride downtown. It was only a few minutes to all the sites. Breakfast was included and was pretty good. Website said hotel had undergone recent renovations and our rooms were nicely appointed and everything looked pretty new. Staff was generally pretty good and spoke enough English to help us out and give directions. They were prompt in giving us wake up calls and ordering taxis for an early departure to airport. The younger members of our party (in their 20's) didn't find as much night life as they did in Prague, and had to be back in relatively early because metro doesn't run much past midnight.
