Beautiful Building in fantastic location

Personnel extremely helpful and nice, could not be better location and overall recommend it. Only comments are 1) housekeeping was slow in responding and 2) gym equipment was OK, not great and no drinking water was close, so bring your own bottle ( whcih is free from the mini bar).

Subpar Hotel

We stayed here for seven days and wondered what we were paying for. While the staff was helpful when they could be, it was obvious that the hotel was poorly managed. Our room was very small and did not come with the usual amenities one finds in a hotel with this nightly rate. The restaurant in the hotel was awful. The € 28,00 breakfast was an insult and having walked by the buffet almost every morning, I would not have eaten it anyway. There is a lively cafe just a few minutes away which offers a great breakfast for two for less than the €28 in the hotel. The carpets had an obvious order - in the lobby and in the rooms. The smell of urine was distinct. The "free" wifi was indeed free 'if' you could successfully log on. Room Service with a €5 surcharge and no selections for an a la carte breakfast. Many have been pleased by the stocked mini-bar but what they put in there is worth about €6 maximum at a local market, Zielpunkt. There was no luxury, comfort or quality. This hotel needs some serious work. Its various menu, pricing scale, room amenities, climate control and Internet access. Never Again.

You can enjoy a good breakfast at the Cafe Schwarzenberg which is less than a five minute walk and the cafe actually has free Internet - that works. The location of the hotel is ideal but that would be my only positive comment.

Radisson Poo

The hotel lobby, bed, and high ceilings were the only things I liked. I guess given the price range it was decent, but it is an old office conversion into a hotel. It needs an update.

Average

Positive points: Great location, 10min walk from city centre and on the famous ring road; bathroom small but modern and clean; Great shower with fantastic pressure; Free wifi. Negative points: we paid for a standard room, quite small and not modernised; very small and old tv with international channels but you have to pay for sky tv. Ultra-expensive breakfast: 28 euros per day per person. You can find plenty much cheaper nice Viennese breakfast cafe places nearby.

Good spot for visiting the city

Pleasant hotel in converted palace. Architecturally attractive internally though the inside fifth floor bedrooms have limited daylight. Helpful staff - generally. Breakfast is expensive and not special. Otherwise, our visit was a success. Would stay at the Radisson Blu again

Great place to stay within the ringstrasse

Well, if you can afford it this is a great place to stay! I found deal online for $150 a night which was in my price range. I highly recommend it because it is perfectly located right along the ringstrasse and really close to the Vienna States Opera house. It's a great city to just walk or you can jump on one of the many trams that go throughout the city.

Great location close to main attractions

I stayed at this hotel with my family. Initially we were put in a room with a view of another building's wall, but when we asked for a room with a better view, they gave us the room with the best view of Stadpark. The minibar was free (juices, water, beer, tea, coffee) and refilled everyday. We were a 10 minute walk from the major shopping area, close to the metro station, and just a couple of stops from the Museums Quarter and other major tourist sites. Highly recommended!

Good hotel

Hotel was nice and clean. Room was a decent size. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel location is very convenient. Easy to get to by public transportation but also accessible by car. There's a parking garage near by. It is also a short walk to the center of town.

nicely located, reasonably priced

Booked a standard room (no. 117) which was nicely appointed and clean. But you had to climb a half a flight of stairs to get to it (with your bags)and walk through the dining room! The room was also under the conference center and I could hear the rearranging of furniture every afternoon to accomodate various changing business meetings (chairs and tables being dragged across the hardwood floor above). But the hotel is well located and the mini bar is stocked daily with free bottles of Diet Coke, water, orange juice and a split of champagne. I would stay here again, but probably request a different room.
